La Posada Bungalows provides a small and intimate setting with less than 10 bungalows/rooms. The owner, Mike, and the rest of his staff provided excellent service! My husband and I traveled with another couple and we all stayed in La Casa (2 bdrms, 2 bath) and the whole place was cleaned every day and we received new towels and linens... More

We just got back from staying a week at La Posada, and I wanted to write a review before our experience faded. La Posada is a property that consists of four bungalows and a handful of rooms, as well as the pool area and an open porch. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and shown to our Parrots... More

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica. We travelled around the country and stayed at hostels/hotels ranging from $38/night to $500/night... La Posada was by far one of our favourite hotels! Other hotels claim that they are the closest to the National Park- they are wrong! La Posada is closer than any other- so close in fact,... More

The room we rented was very spacious, and the hotel staff was more than accommodating in helping us make plans for activities in the area. The entrance to the park is right outside your front door, and the beach is a short walk. It can get a little noisy in the morning as the street vendors set up their wares... More

Just returned from a week at La Posada. My family stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was very comfortable for our family of four. The apartment is immaculately maintained. The location was perfect. We spent most days at the beach, which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and then would return to La Posada in the afternoon... More

Great spot, lush surroundings, much wildlife at the hotel, very clean and comfortable but it's the friendly atmosphere that make this place so great! We feel like we've always known Jonathan and were just staying at his place!! Jonathan & Estevan helped us book excursions out and they share their commission with you so you pay less!! My family and... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and with a party of six took up 3 of the rooms; two bungalows and the monkey room. The rooms are just okay (actually the monkey room was a little dark), but we did not expect much more. The reason why this hotel gets such high reviews is the social atmosphere the design creates;... We just returned from a 2 night stay at this great hideaway! You can't ask for a better location being next door to the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. While the hotel isn't large or fancy, it has a quaint, homey feel to it! Arriving during the rainy season with emphasis on rain-it was wonderful to have the option... More

If you're looking for a beach that's secluded and off the beaten path, Manuel Antonio isn't it. The area is beautiful but quite busy. Of course, this means that there are also plenty of restaurants and bars around if that's what you're looking for. That said, the jungle bungalows are in a great spot -- down a small road and... So it appears that all the positive reviews mentioned Mike. Well, Mike was not here when we were and left his staff in charge. They are not exactly helpful and quite rude to be honest. You'll find them playing Farmville quite frequently on the guest computer and find their friends hanging out in the reception area with them, eating pizza... More

LaPosadaMike, Owner at La Posada Private Jungle Bungalows, responded to this review

This is Mike the owner and manager and I try very hard never to respond to reviews as this is truly a forum for travelers and their experiences. However, this one indicates that the hotel has gone downhill since my departure and makes it seem like I am no longer involved. I only left one week ago and this is... More
