Tulemar Resort was our last stop in Costa Rica. Our bungalow was stellar, entitled “The Sloth House”, perfect for my 11yr old daughter who is fascinated by them. We had a blast! What made our trip so special was our personal concierge Orlando Cortez. What...More

Wow! Thank you Hall for your exuberant review and for staying with us at the one and only Tulemar Resort. Beyond being number 9 in the world over all we're number 4 in the world for families and it sounds like your experience affirms this,...More
Our family of five recently stayed at Tulemar for 5 days. It was our first time visiting Costa Rica and while we were planning the trip, we considered multiple other lodging options in the area. We decided to stay at Tulemar based on a good...More

My family of four (kids ages 6 and 9) stayed at Tulemar for four nights in early April. It is definitely on the high end in terms of price point for the area, but it was absolutely worth the cost given the accommodations, service, and...More

We stayed in the La Luna suite a couple of weeks ago. I should start by telling you we stayed in the Tulemar bungalows for 4 or 5 days prior to moving to the La Luna Suite. The bungalows are further up the hill so they offer unbelievable 180 degree views. The view from La Luna is not nearly as nice but let’s be realistic the private beach is the main reason to stay at Tulemar. La Luna is very modern, clean and has a wonderful hammock on the patio which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The suite itself is set up much like a hotel room. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.

If you enjoy learning more about the history of the country and how people actually live, then I highly recommend a visit to La iguana. We used Pedro Salazar (contact via La Iguana) as our driver. It was about an hour and a half each way from Tulemar and we spent two or three hours at the chocolate farm; we didn’t stay for lunch but it looked great. Pedro is very charming and stopped along the way to educate us about the various crops (palm oil, papaya, banana, coffee). We actually made chocolate candy but the cultural experience was unforgettable.
