Laura, manager, made this place, I hear the owner of the property is making some changes to the staff, but Laura makes the stay memorable. You are always greeted with such a warm and friendly smile, she ensures your day around Montezuma starts the right way. Breakfast is awesome, grounds are over grown with foliage everywhere, but that leads to...

We loved it here, perfect location steps away from the beach and little downtown area, peaceful, and such a sweet family running it. Excellent breakfast, wildlife everywhere, it was perfect for us. A little humid and sticky in rooms, bathrooms ok, easy on the sewage system...but that's typical for location. Wonderful pool, great choice of smaller to family size rooms.

This is a tricky review as we left after 2 days planning to stay 4. This was because the rooms are quite old and run down and are full of critters (cockroaches especially). But the lady who runs the place is brilliant, there are loads of cool animals on the grounds, and it's right on the edge of town but...

This place is an absolute gem in Montezuma. Super clean and spacious rooms and the scenery awesome. Everyday you will get to see various animals just in their garden! Especially the monkeys are a true gift to watch at sunset while swimming in the amazing pool! Breakfast is a true treat and the hosts make this place not only a...

This hotel is tucked away from busy Montezuma but still very close. Easy to walk to beaches, stores and many restaurants. Very friendly hosts. Everything on their breakfast menu was delicious. Nice to have our own fridge in the room. We walked to beaches, walked to Montezuma waterfalls and went hiking at Cabo Blanco, highly recommended.

Rooms are very well lit, clean and comfortable with nets on windows and fans, with own bathrooms. There is good wifi signal and nice pool. We like to be surrounded by monkeys and nature, its like living in a forest. Good value for money. The breakfast is good (included in price) and the staff super friendly and helpful (especially the...

I had a great time in Luz de Mono. Clean and lovely cabins in the middle of a nice garden (so it is shady which is nice). Calm, except for the monkeys - they gave my stay a bit of jungle feeling. It's close to the "center" of montezuma and close to the nice beach. The breakfast is wonderful, i...

The place was great. The people that ran the place were very helpful and friendly you thought you were family. They had a really nice breakfast and certain nights of the week they a an awesome BBQ. The hotel was sort of at the end of town(less noise )and hidden away in a jungle-like surrounding with howler monkeys, birds, and other wildlife,..the...

The hotel is run by a very friendly Bulgarian/Costa Rican family. Very interesting to talk to. The pool was our favourite hang out spot. Being in the pool, you could look at the ocean and spot numerous animals in the trees above - monkeys, parrots, toucans, green iguanas etc etc. The rooms are spacious and the location in Montezuma perfect....
