PROS +Absolutely beautiful property set in the jungle just off the beach. +wildlife +incredible food +The funky town of Montezuma-good restaurants, bars CONS - trashy beaches...given the remote setting on national park in an ecolodge, I was disappointed that the beaches had so much trash on them. Worse than any beach in California. We'd fill up 2 shopping bags on...

Wildlife everywhere you look. Two kinds of monkeys, many lizards, iguanas, and other four legged creatures. So much fun to explore and never knowing what you may find. Food was incredible though you don't want to be in a hurry as meals are never shorter than an hour and a half, no reason to be in hurry though as you...

This is the best place to go to get away from stress and really relax. You get to see iguanas, monkeys and beautiful birds. It is a beachfront paradise. The food was absolutely the best ever and the staff so caring and friendly. This was my second trip there and I am sure I will be back again. There is...

Its a bit of a splurge for the traveler on a budget in Costa Rica but so worth it. This place is one of my all time favorites in all of my travels. The staff is so helpful and nice. The grounds are spectacular, wildlife everywhere! Monkeys by the pool, on the beach, above your room. Beautiful birds everywhere, giant...

We stayed in a tent with an ylang ylang tree right outside of it... It think it's my fave smell now. Yum. I say tent but we were not roughing it one bit... It's more like a room with screen windows so you can be in the fresh air and hear the ocean all night... it's AMAZING! And yes, you...

We had a great time staying at Ylang Ylang. Our room was right by the beach; we could see the beach as we woke up in the morning. The hotel is on a very pretty section of the beach, and the independent villas help keep up the secluded-feel. The atmosphere is calm, serene and relaxing. The food was amazing. Must...

We ate dinner here twice but unfortunately didn't stay here (we SO wished we had!). Food was delicious and setting divine. Service was really great too which is incredibly rare in Montezuma. One of the best things for me was that they were wonderful about my food allergies. I'm gluten-free, dairy-free, and egg free due to Hashimoto (autoimmune disease). We...

We stayed at Ylang Ylang for a glorious two weeks. I planned the trip last March, and Moyaya (the owners' son) was a fabulous communicator, getting back to me right away with any questions I may have had. From the moment Eduardo met us at the ferry on December 12 to Eduardo dropping us at Tambor Airport on December 27,...

In the picture of the Dome (#5), stayed in the one just behind in #6. Also, TTC (Tree Top Canopy). Each had their own unique experience. The Dome had little white face monkey's visit around 4-5 p.m. each day. Don't feed & Don't leave a door open! Room was cozy & nice. Second leg of stay, was in TTC. Another...

We only ended up spending the afternoon at Ylang Ylang since they were not open fully yet and we were staying at their sister property in town. A great get away from Montezuma with and almost private beach, great restaurant, pool, and terrific bungalow options!
