This place was just what we were hoping for. The price for a private room (with a sea view) was great, and the hotel has a great, social common area. We met lots of fun people here, and bumped into a few of them again around Costa Rica. Rooms were clean and spacious, as were the bathrooms, and the kitchen...

Loved this place. Very accommodating. We arrived and our room was not ready so they upgraded us. Yes the internet was in and out and the shower/toilet situation isn't the most comfortable but the atmosphere/price/friendliness off the people more than make up for any short comings. Very clean rooms. Mango trees all over the place and a short walk to...

This was a nice hostel just up a short but steep hill as you leave Montezuma. It has a nice sea view and has visits from monkeys and agoutis in the grounds. The dorm was OK but nothing special. There is a lock on the door but no room to store all your bags. There is however a small locker...

We booked this hotel for 4 nights based on a friend's previous success with the place and expected an equally pleasant stay. When we got there, the owner wasn't there but her friend was covering for her. To get to the hotel from the bus stop involves walking up a very steep hill and then up about 5 flights of...

Very nice location with monkeys all around you, the common area is very nice as well where you can meet other travellers. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, it is overprized for what you get. There is no breakfast. Furthermore it is very clairaudiant and the creaking of our neighbor's door woke us a few times in the middle...

Whilst the location is a little uphill from town it pays off with some great views. The high trees support a local troupe of Howler monkeys which provide a great alarm clock. Rooms are good with facilities you need. Communal areas are cosy and provide good atmosphere. Rooms nearer the main building ate a little noisier (as you'd expect) but...

We booked a 4 bed room through their website for what we thought was $43 a night but when we went to pay its $63! Apparently you pay $43 for "double occupancy" then an extra $10 each per person! Although it states this on their page I feel it's a bit unclear as under the room it just says $43...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights while travelling. We were able to get a private room that was about the same price as both of us getting a dorm room, which was great. It's defiantly different than other hostels, the rooms are little shacks in the middle of the jungle it feels. You can hear the monkeys...
