My wife and I were looking for something different, off the grid and found it at the Lookout Inn. We spent five days/nights there and one day/night at their other location Hotel Inn Jiménez, Puerto Jiménez. They were performing some upgrading on the Tiki Hut structure that we had booked and was provided and upgrade. Great room, very spacious. You...

If you don't like nature, animals, beautiful views, sunsets, waves and Costa Rica this place probably isn't for you. For everyone else, this place is beyond spectacular. I took my family which included a 4 year old and a 70 year old and each and everyone of us had a blast. Sleeping in the trees with open walls was amazing...

The Lookout Inn is one of those places that will stay in your heart for ever. It is without doubt the Costa Rica we were really looking for, with a proper, laid back, tropical vibe and fantastic hosts who make you feel so at home I found it a real struggle to leave, having only popped in for lunch! The...

Let's start by saying that the Osa Peninsula, and Carate in particular, is not for everyone. It's hot, day and night--hard to get to--scarlet macaws and howler monkeys make a lot of noise, and there is little to no night life (not counting the monkey music). There is no hot water in the showers. Thank God (or Copernicus, Lyell, and...

We stayed at Lookout Inn in mid-April, 2017 with our 2 kids, age 11 and 14. We loved it, and thought it was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The Inn is located on a hill overlooking a beautiful black sand beach. The water is warm but rough, swimmable if you're careful. Corcovado National Park is about a...

I stayed here in mid-July 2016 with my boyfriend. I chose the Lookout Inn because it is within walking distance to an entrance of Corcovado national park, and it has it's own beach. This inn is off the grid, runs necessities on solar power, has no A/C, and many of the rooms are open air styled cabins. I did my...
