This place, staff, owner, beachfront and jungle are amazing! We came back for a second visit a couple years later because this is such a great one of a kind find. Our visit was an entire 7 days at this property which allowed us for some relaxing downtime (reading, introspection, etc...), beach time, jungle adventures to waterfalls, animal sightings and...

This was the most unique, beautiful, and quite frankly the best hotel accommodation I have ever had the privilege of visiting. This was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. What an amazing setting: surrounded by untouched rain forest and expansive views of the Pacific. The rain forest here is full of life: white faced capuchins, coati and even...

We spent the last 3 days of our Costa Rica vacation, Jun 2-4, 2017, at the Lookout Inn. Our only regret is that we did not have MORE time there! I knew that we had found a special place upon arrival when I saw the sign “please remove your shoes”. This is a shoe-less Inn. You walk around on the...

preface: certain aspects of review reflect my bias as wildlife ecologist / conservation biologist who teaches environmental studies & sustainability WHAT I (AND MY BF) LOVED MOST 1. location - could NOT be better: close to beautiful beach (whereas other lodgings seem high up on hillside), though maybe adding more comfy beach seating options would be nice. 2. beautiful property...

Magical place with clean lodging and wildlife everywhere. We watched a capuchin monkey family groom and feed each other while reading from the deck this afternoon. Then some macaws came to visit. Very special place with special hospital folks working here to make your stay really comfortable. B&B atmosphere in the middle of a beautiful jungle.

A late review as my wife and I were fortunate to stay with generous hosts Katya and her husband Terry, not once, but twice, over the December holidays in 2014. We travel often and value genuine experiences. Costa Rica promises some of the most pristine natural flora and fauna but frankly, it is difficult to find either without a Disneyfied,...

My wife and I stayed here in April 2013: so apologies for a rather late review. We stayed here because of the rave reviews. On a bunch of counts it did not disappoint.
