This place cost a pretty penny but it is worth it. It is a very unique place, I has around 15 units all spread out, it is a bit hard to describe as it is not setup quite like any other place I have been. It is out in the middle of nowhere (only accessible by boat) next to the...

Thanks to this client for the nice comments. I do admit it does get a little hot here in the Jungle at times and it is great to hang out at the pool. It is a great idea to take a shower before getting in bed. I enjoyed the comment that the Hotel is not setup like any other place...

Arrival is by boat (with a wet landing) to this hideaway on the Pacific coast. Accommodation is in individual luxurious bungalows set around a clearing in the rain forest on a hill overlooking the ocean. Excellent guides take you around the forest or diving off Cano Island to see a huge variety of sea life, birds insects and animals (Sloths,...

The adventure begins with a flight from SJO to Palmar Sur, 45 minutes, then land transfer to the dock in Sierpe for 20 minutes and a boat transfer through the mangroves of Sierpe River, an amazing experience with stunning views of the mangroves flora and fauna, then traversing the sea, 2 hours approximately to arrive to Casa Corcovado which has...

Someone once said that fences make the best neighbors but in our case with Corcovado National Park as a neighbor I'm glad there are no fences. We are very luckly to have the national park as a neighbor though I'm not sure our gardener agrees. The Tapirs have been munching on our garden plants quite a bit lately. It seems...

Great location and faboulos Tours to corcovado and cana island with excellent guides. Food is a real shame, worst quality of whole trip e.g. Burnt breakfast eggs, super dry and overcooked fish, tinned and non fresh side dish Service (reception, Bar, Transport) with too few ressouces & staff for large property. It seems the owners try to maximize profit by...

I do feel bad that this cliente even though he enjoyed the location and thought our guides and tours were excellent did not feel the same about our service and food. I apologize for any shortcomings on behalf of myself and my staff. I feel especially hurt that this guest felt that the hotel is understaffed in order to maximize...

The Osa Peninsula has always been a rustic place. But that is a good thing. National Geographic magazine spent some time here a dozen or so years ago, and called Corcovado National Park the “most biologically diverse place on earth”. High praise indeed. But I think it could be true. We have always enjoyed our visits here. Though I have...

This is an excellente play by play, day by day description of a trip to Casa Corcovado. The author, Pat Hewitt, is owner of Costa Rica Travel Exchange in New Orleans. He was one of our earliest supporters and it was great that he could come back and visit and see the changes that we have made. I feel very...

We flew from San Jose in a small aircraft: the view of the country -mountains and beach- was stunning. Transfer to Sierpe (change clothes, sanitary stop) and off in the boat. Great trip with stops to spot animals. (This compares favorably to the trip to and from Tortuguero, which was just a fast transfer and without stops). We had a...

I'm glad that these guests enjoyed thier stay with us even though we could have done better on a couple of the details. I do agree that you have to try the spring-fed swimming pool below the bar area. There are quite a few steps, but it's a great place to cool off. Thank you for your comments. Steven Lill...

We all (three couples) loved coming here to view wildlife and savor the natural beauty of the this jungle where it abuts on the ocean, located right next to the Corcovada National Park. We travelled on a 12 seater plane, then two hours in a boat, followed by a wet landing ( which was handled very skilfully so we didn't get too wet) and then pulled up the hill in a tractor trailer.
