My Husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at The Palms Cabinas. The location is ideal, right on the beach. They also have a good restaurant and the staff were very helpful. We chose a cabina that was the most private, number 1. It has its own little terrace and though there was no outdoor seating, we managed to find...

We rolled into town after a holiday weekend and there were no rooms available except here. I am not sure what other guests saw and liked but this place is disgusting. The hot water in the shower is rigged with exposed wires aka suicide shower and there is a faint smell of nast coming from the bed. I spent more...

They need to put some money back in their business: everything need fixing or renewal. Location is good, few minutes walking from downtown, restaurants, the pier or the airport. Rates are low, but for few bucks more you can get a much better deal.

This is a motel style establishment with an attached restaurant run as as a separate business. There is a newer addition facing the lagoon across a road. Both the older and newer rooms have A/C and hot water. The newer ones seemed slightly larger with 2 double beds and TV's. We stayed in one of the older rooms because it...

First of all: The Lonely Planet review of the place is a bad joke. We paid 45$ for a "Ocean View" room - the ocean is an almost dried up laguna during low tide (stil inappropriate for swimming during high tide). And there is an unpaved road literally right in front of the room, on which cars, trucks, motorcycles and...

This hotel has obviously gone downhill since some of the reviews were written. The room we had was damp & ceilings full of black mold. The "suicide shower" did not work and the a/c worked, but only just, and was very noisy (like having a go-kart in the room. One light not working and faucet coming out of the sink....

We stayed at the Palms for a night before going to Corcovado and ended up staying for 3 nights more after our return. The people are very friendly and the prices are a great value for what you get (A/C and hot water plus real mattresses- what a treat after three days of hiking!) The outside isn't very impressive, but...
