We booked the hotel for 1 night with a group of friends. We were sitting at a table on the corridor outside of the rooms and the owner keep getting into our conversation. I went to lay down and left the door open and I just walked right into the room to turn on the fan. The a/c on the... More

I think it is fair to rate this hotel but a have to say that we thought we actually booked different. To explain: Is it a bit confusing; the hotel is located at the same land as the Corcovado wild hostel and I think also run by the same people as from cacao monkeys. We actually at first booked trough... More

Dear Roy, Thank you for your comment about Arenas de Osa. There seems to be some confusion. We are a hotel, and not the same business as Corvovado Wild, which is owned by Christian. We are located on the same land, but run by a different owner. My name is William Jimenez, owner of Arenas de Osa (hotel). If you... More

This 'lodge' is a room only hotel. No breakfast or anything. Which is fine. We used it as a hub to travel to Corcovado and Matapalo. No thrills hotel... a clean room and bathroom. The owner is nice and helpful... during the day he is off doing his thing. So it is lodging only... Don't expect too much. I read... More

A really nice place to stay in Pto Jimenez. We stayed there last June and May 2011. The new looking hotel is a 10 minute walk to downtown and restaurants, quiet and comfortable. The AC is great after a hot and sweaty trek in the rainforest. Both the owner Gato and his son Alex are great people and happy to... More

I stayed at Arenas de Osa, what a great place. Gato the owner greated me with a big smile and showed me to my room, the rooms are spacious, great linens, a/c, hot shower...basically everything you need after a day of exploring Corcovado National Park...Arenas is a short walk from downtown Puerto Jimenez, very quiet so you can sit back... After shooting a lot of footage of the Osa wildlife I was fortunate to find Arenas De Osa. It was a great place to recharge from my time in the Rainforest...hot showers, comfortable rooms with AC, and a second floor open kitchen to cook a meal or have breakfast in the morning. I also like the fact it is in... More

Arenas is an awesome little hotel too stay in. its super clean, friendly, has wifi and minutes from the center of town. also, if you are on your way to corcovado, the bus (collectivo) passes right in front of the hotel. I'm happy everytime I go there! a sure win!

I stay at Arenas de Osa about once a month during the high season as I often have to come to town. Arenas de Osa is my little oasis in Puerto Jimenez. It's far enough from the main road to be quiet and clean!! The rooms are spacious, great beds and linens, hot showers (love those) and there is a... More

During my stay in Costa Rica I have booked a cheap flight with Nature Air to Puerto Jimenez. We are sorry for the experience you had with us. Yes, at times when the hotel is not busy, my neighbour does take care of the property for me.
