My husband and i had the pleasure of visiting Costa Rica for the first time this passed December for a very special wedding between two of our dearest. When we heard them speak of Blue Osa (which they had stayed in previously years back and LOVED it so much they decided to have their most special day celebrated there) we...

First of all, I went to the Jungle, so I was expecting a little bit of "roughing it". It was not glamping. Wear good shoes that can get wet. Having said that, I still felt pampered. Our room had walls of screens, with beautiful trees and flowers and animals outside. (yes, curtains) Everyday, staff made our beds and changed towels....

Went for a wedding with no expectation of what to expect. What a fantastic experience. The food and the place area amazing. One of those unique and special places that you feel so lucky you found. I would go back for a longer stay if I had the chance.

Me and my husband had the pleasure of being invited to a wedding at the Blue Osa in December, and I can't sing its praises enough. Costa Rica as a country is so spoilt with natural beauty, it easy see why the local people we met were so lovely. And that is also very true for the Blue Osa. All...

This was our second adventure to Blue Osa. Our first was in 2010 and we fell in love with the remoteness, beauty, amazing staff and guests and the delectable food. I wasn't sure about this trip at first as we were there for 4 days and I thought I'd be bored to tears just in one place that long, but...

I decided to wait and try to “unpack” some of my thoughts about my 1-month Yoga Teacher Training at Blue Osa in October/November 2016. I’ll try to cover both a resort review and a discussion of the YTT. But my experiences are coloured by the inclusive nature of the YTT. The resort itself is about 7 miles from Puerto Jimenez....

I stayed at Blue Osa for my personal retreat and I had a great experience there. The place is absolutely beautiful. Because they accommodate only a small number of guests, there is always plenty of outdoor space where you can quietly sit alone immersing yourself in the beautiful nature for many hours. The staff and volunteer staff are friendly and...

I've been to CR a half dozen times, but never to the Osa Peninsula. I had the opportunity to spend a week at Blue Osa for a yoga retreat with my teacher James Tennant. The overall experience was profound thanks to James, the group of yogis, the practice, the staff at Blue Osa and the idyllic surroundings. The food was...

The Osa Peninsula, at the southern end of the Pacific side of the extraordinarily beautiful country of Costa Rica is a paradise of flora and fauna. It was the site that my one of my yoga teachers chose for his international yoga retreat this year and I was very excited to attend. It was my first international retreat and I...

Dear Guest, Being a Canadian I had to look at up what a “carpetbaggers” was. According to an online search, “A political candidate who seeks election in an area where they have no local connections.” It also refers to “a person who perceived as an unscrupulous opportunist.” My business partner Adam and I came to Costa Rica because we, like...

Many people in our group did not have the positive experience that others have reported on TripAdvisor—perhaps we coincided with a rough patch. The resort is indeed as beautifully situated as people claim: gorgeous vistas, manicured grounds, and lush trees and foliage everywhere. Truly there is something magical about jungle encroaching on beaches. Stunning red macaws, howler monkeys, and iguanas...

Dear Guest, First I want to thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the resort grounds and local flora and fauna. We are truly blessed to be located on such a stunning and remote piece of the Osa.  Of course, we’re sorry to hear that your stay was not everything you...
