Where to start? OK. I'll start with the refreshing fruit smoothies handed to my husband and I as we entered the grounds after 2 flights that brought us from 10 degrees and snowing to fair skies and 85. Casual, welcoming, and laid back would be words to describe this little private resort. Winding paths meandered to the Casitas, the pool,...

From the moment we made our reservations to the moment we left the warm friendly staff made us feel welcome. The property is beautiful, meals outstanding, fabulous beach and pool. Our Club room was perfect with an ocean view. One can stroll around seeing both Scarlet Macaws and monkeys as part of your day. The trips offered by the Lodge...

The Iguana Lodge totally exceeded our expectations...which were high to begin with! We are a blended family of ten and took all of our kids...ages 30 to 10...over the Christmas holiday. We had an absolute blast! I can't say enough about the staff. They helped us plan out all our excursions..which included zip-lining (awesome), tree-climbing and waterfall repelling (thrilling beyond...

We stayed here 4 nights over the Christmas holiday and cannot imagine a better choice! Lauren and Toby are engaging and charming owners/hosts along with all the staff. We were a family of 5 with young adult children and our two story casita was a perfect fit for us! The beach is beautiful and perfect for swimming or kayaking or...

Iguana Lodge is not fancy or fussy but it is comfortable, relaxing, has good food and plenty of opportunities to see the scarlet macaws up close as they fee on the almond trees by the restaurant daily. Two highlights: one was a massage by Tracey - the best I have ever had and the second was the night hike that...

We did not stay here but spent the day here. The beach is just gorgeous, the bar was out of a travel magazine and the guests I spoke to were very complimentary of the accommodations thoguh I cannot personally speak to that. I am writing the review because it is truly a beautiful place, complete with scarlet mackaws, wide beaches,...

The location is remote, especially if you don't have a car. But grounds, room, staff, food were so excellent there was no need to go anywhere else. Beach was beautiful. Unlike other Central American or Carribean beaches, there aren't people walking the beach, trying to get you to buy something. Water is warm, surf is gentle. We woke up to...

We had a room in the bungalow, upper level, ocean front. It's cool to relax on the balcony and 4 parrots come to spend some time with you! The restaurant for lunch and dinner is just under the rooms. The restaurant is excellent and quiet with very good staff. It close at 8:00 PM, so there is no problem to...

What a BEAUTIFUL experience we had at the Iguana Lodge! I cannot say enough about how amazing everything was there...the food was world class, the setting spectacular , and the staff went beyond any call of duty to make us feel completely at home....and the high light for me, was the Spa treatment and the Excellent Yoga class that I...

I traveled here right at the tail end of low season, and it's a gorgeous spot. Gorgeous jungle, miles of beautiful beaches, and warm Golfo Dulce water right off the property. The onsite service was very helpful and friendly. The food was good, but I expected more based on prior reviews. There were not many people staying while I was...
