This friendly hostel provides a little more luxury than your normal backpackers. The place has a swimming pool with a chill out lounge area and sun tanning beds. Hammocks and cosy couches and bean bag seats complete the hang out area. Staff are friendly and helpful, and always there when you need them.

Great hostel! Swimming pool, good location, breakfast for 4 dollars, many showers and toilets very clean. Hammocks everywhere. I would recommend thia hostel to anyone. Careful: the wifi is working in the common rooms, not in the dorms

Really liked this place. It's cared for. All the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small with a big window reminiscent of Amsterdam's red light district, which could be off putting for some but they are very clean and have a fan. The rooms surround a well kept garden area and swimming pool that gets... More

The Wide Mouth Frog is a decent hostel. It meets all the basic requirements for a hostel. They have nice hammocks hanging around the hostel, decent wifi (only in the common area) and helpfu, friendly staff. The rooms are boiling hot and filled with mosquito's, but then again, it is Costa Rica. However, there is not that much to do... More

A very well kept hostel with a superbly well equipped kitchen and friendly staff. It had a quiet atmosphere and the room was unspectacular but very clean. The shared bathroom was big and with the hot weather the cold showers weren't a problem. The swimming pool was a huge bonus too! One of the best value for money hostels we... More

This is a lovely hostel with a great pool and nice gardens. Room was clean and staff were very friendly. Quepos itself is not so great. Very busy, lots of traffic and good restaurant options are limited. The only reason to be here is to visit Manuel Antonio park so arrive early, visit the park, stay the night at WMF... More

Loved wide mouth frog , reception provides awesome service. The pool is gorgeous and they have nice gardens. Closest to bus station, really secure, nice adult size bunks. Huge kitchen and yummy restaurant that is cheap. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can hear them singing.

The staff in this hostel were really nice and extremely helpful - e.g. with activities to do in the area, transport information & looking after our bags for us after we had checked out. Our dorm was large and there were several lockers with sockets in each one which was great for leaving our phones etc when we were going... More

Best backpackers we have stayed in by far. They have thought of everything. Huge kitchen with everything that you need, although we didn't use it because the restaurant on site is cheap and delicious and not worth cooking. We slept in a spotless dorm with power plugs in our locker so we could charge our devices securely. The receptionists are... More
