We stayed three nights here as it is only a short 7 km ($0.50 U.S.) bus trip to Manuel Antonio Park. The bus runs every half hour from the bus station that is only 3 short blocks away. This is the first hotel in 6 weeks of travelling in Nicaragua and Costa Rica that was essentially full every night -...

My wife and I stayed here in january/ 2012. We were on our way to Corcovado from Santa Elena and had three days to fill. We found this little gem, nothing fancy, great value, clean, fun pool after spending a couple of days at the beaches in Manuel Antonio, super friendly staff and incredibly helpful. We had to find a...

I stayed at La Sirena Hotel for three nights with my husband and my 2 sons. This hotel was amazing, totally what I expected. It is well located, right in the middle of everything. The wifi worked perfectly on my kindle fire. The kids loved the pool, it is very clean and refreshing. Also, the manager, Lucy, was lovely. She...

I recently stayed at La Sirena with my wife for 3 nights. When you first arrive it may seem like a sketchy area, but as soon as I got my bearing, it wound up being a great location. Within walking distance to all kinds of restaurants and shopping. Very good security, did not feel at all unsecure. The drive to...

This was a cute little hotel with friendly staff and good accommodations. The rooms are cozy, with a TV, a refrigerator, AC and safe. Its in Quepos, so its not right on the beach - definitely a plus in my book. Buses go every 20 minutes to Manuel Antonio (the beaches you would probably want to go to) from about...

I recently spent three nights at Hotel La Sirena. I specifically chose a hotel in town because I wanted to be able to explore - walk around, shop, meet people, etc., not lay out all day on the beach or the pool. Everyone at the hotel was nice. Carolina and Jorge worked the front desk and Don Ramon worked the...

This little hotel which everyone seems to like, has a lot of problems. First and foremost the rooms. Most were "claustrophobically" small, ours with the tv attached to the ceiling. No decorations, ugly white curtains, small and oudated bathrooms. As most are in the interior courtyard, you cannot have the curtains open. I was offered a worse room in a...

ALERT: There is NO reason to stay in Quepos (unless seedy nightlife and overpriced restaurants are your thing). Do not be misled by claims that the hotel is a block from the beach..this is not a beach you can swim in!! It is the beach where the town sewage is drained. The beach that you want to go to is...

My wife and I had a room opposite the pool, which we enjoyed, and the breakfast area. The breakfast was good and the room, although smallish, was fine for us with good air-con, especially given the high humidity and heat outside when we arrived in march, 2011. The staff were very helpful both in terms of the parking of our...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Marcos at the front desk is awesome. The room is a couple of blocks from downtown and just as close to the water (no beach, but beautiful sunsets). The room was clean and well taken care of but is getting old so don't expect shiny and new. The pool is well maintained. The breakfast...
