This was my second stay at Villas Tranquilas. First let me say that the staff (especially Kathy) was fantastic. The 2 level villas are located in the middle of the jungle just 5 minutes from downtown Quepos and 15 minutes from Manuel San Antonio. Everything was immaculate. The full kitchen came in handy when we wanted to stay in and...

we surfed and found villas tranquilas through vrbo and subsequently found it here. we booked a last minute trip to costa rica - most places were fully booked a week prior to our post christmas/pre new years trip. so, we felt lucky getting a place. the villas seem brand new, 4 2 bedroom villas per compound with 4 compounds surrounding...

We stayed at Villas Tranquilas for 8 days over Christmas and New Years, 2008. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The townhouse itself is clean, modern and well supplied with the things we needed and wanted. On those evenings when we cooked, the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Kathy and her staff were there everyday to see to our...

This is a fantastic place to stay near Quepos without being in the town. The villas are large and VERY clean indeed. The daily maid service ensures this. The villas offer first hand experience of the rainforest and we frequently saw titi monkeys, morpho butterflies and a wide variety of colourful birds from one of the 4 open patios and...

I've been coming to Costa Rica for 20 years, and I have stayed in a lot of places. By far, Villas Tranquilas was the most tranquil and fun at the same time. It is of the beaten path, and at first glance ,you might be discouraged. Don't be! Here you will find all the comforts of home. These are new...

We chose Villas Tranquilas for a one month say in Quepos, Costa Rica, and we ended up being very satisfied with it as a self catering option. The units are pretty much exactly as shown on their website (www.villastranquilas.com), and we found the amenities were everything we needed for our stay. As mentioned in other reviews, Villas Tranquilas seems a...

I give Villas Tranquilas 2 thumbs up! It was fantastic! The complex is very neat and nicely laid out. I was there for the grand opening in Dec 2006 with my family and we were very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and nice. We loved cooking some meals, when we stayed in, and the kitchen was fully equipped....

I had recently came back from Quepos and a stay at Villas Tranquilas. It was my first trip to Costa Rica and the experience was excellent. Because the Villas are new and information scarce I wanted to submit a review. I traveled with 3 friends who had also never been to Costa Rica. Our main reasons for going were to...

Our trip to Quepos, Costa Rica was great. We went there mainly for a fishing experience of a lifetime. Quepos, on the Central Pacific Coast, is the capital for excellent sailfish in Feb. We stayed at the Villas Tranquilas in Feb 07. Our time there was great. We did not go to Quepos to have all the comforts of home....
