Fantastic hotel, we stayed here twice in January. The first night we arrived the room was later out with several candles, champers and rose petals. The steak in the restaurant is simply amazing , we it both times we stayed. On our return visit 2 weeks later we ordered some cocktails and they then also give us complimentary tapas and...

The hotel is in a nice area, and feels very safe and secure. The service didn't seem very experienced, but tried their best. The room was nice and very large, but with no entertainment services. Just seems more like a resort rather than a hotel.

I was a little confused by this review, as the title doesn't seem to match up with the comments that follows or the mark of 3/5 . We always take suggestions into consideration so we can improve the experience for future guests. It is not clear where the shortcomings of our staff were. Each staff member is asked to professionally...

This hotel is quite a hike to get into downtown Santa Ana, and it's a rather daunting hike at that. The roads here are quite narrow, and the little path on the side of the road meanders at times onto the road. Be sure you are paying attention. That being said, the hotel itself is lovely. The interior architecture reminds...

We spent one night here when I had to be in San Jose early the next day. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is excellent. Breakfast was a real treat. We loved our experience there. We will definitely visit again.

We arrived at the Alta hotel late at night after a long flight from the UK. The hotel was lovely and a warm welcome awaited us from the hotel staff. The staff were aware that it was our honeymoon and went out of there way to make some special touches to our bedroom including complimentary champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and...

Boutique hotel in the hills overlooking San Jose and around 30 minutes drive from the airport. We stayed one night before heading to the Rain Forest and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant was excellent although the night we arrived the choice was "Thanksgiving Dinner" or sandwiches. Thanksgiving Dinner it was and to be fair the meal was superb albeit...

We had a lay over in San Jose area and our travel agent booked us here! We were delighted -- incredible views of the valley, stunningly nice architecture -- our room was a Colonial style with nice arched doorways. we ate at the Luxe which was nice -- very convenient. Great bathrooms, nice linens. Best: the porch right outside our...

From the moment we arrived at Alta (after a long day of travel) we were welcomed by friendly and accommodating staff. They even allowed us to come to dinner before the restaurant officially opened for the evening. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable and all have amazing views with large decks....

As many people agree that this is a very elegantly designed hotel. The designer did a great job. The room is very clean with simple yet stylish furniture. There is a large balcony, and the view from there is stunning. The staff are efficient, really friendly and nice. What we liked is that there is a small communal area where...

“We enjoyed an upstairs room with outside balcony & stunning views.”

“Our room was the closest to the pool and the restaurant, it was very convenient as we just walk outside the room from the balcony to go to the pool. However, there wasn't 100% privacy as we could see people passing by going to the pool right from our bed. Next time I would choose an upper level room where I can have the curtains wide open and enjoy a more private view. Also you have to be careful and just be sure to lock the doors/windows that lead to the balcony, because of the traffic area.”
