A clean well located hotel. My room was at the cheaper end and though a little small was clean and fully functional with good free wifi. Reception staff were helpful and informative and sent me to a good typical restaurant and bar literally 2 mins walk away. Quiet at night (though you could just hear the trains from 5am to...

We had a great stay here. Nice front desk guy, basic room, good breakfast. Moved here after a terrible stay at another hotel and it was refreshing. Second floor room with an internal patio. Most of San Jose not very safe at night but walk to Tin Jo Asian restaurant a few blocks away. Excellent!

We've had two rooms and they were clean. The rooms were looking used, but equipment was in good conditions. Good place to stay for a view nights in order to discover the city and the surrounding area.

A recent real life nightmare had three of us walking around downtown San Jose going from hotel to hotel trying to find some vacancy. After trying 6 or 7 different places we found The Palm House Inn. It was pretty expensive for Costa Rica, the first night we were three and a triple room cost $72 (in cash, pay by...

It's located pretty down town San Jose and it is easy to find. It's relatively cheaper than the other hotels nearby even though its not a low cost hotel. The rooms are clean, but small. The breakfast was really good.

We only stayed 1 day and 2 nights. Rooms clean and sufficient. The position is pretty central and near the National museum. The breakfast is very simple but enough. As mentioned in previous posts the shower drains tend to overflow very quickly. The reception guys really went out of there way to help us locate our lost baggage at the airport...

As others have said, this hotel is centrally located and reasonably clean. The room is basic but clean.Terrible drainage in bathroom - water goes everywhere after a shower and you're in a swamp. Whatever you do, don't leave anything on the floor! Breakfast is a bit of a joke. And, while centrally located, the street itself is all barred windows...

On my way to Nicaragua I often stay at this hotel. Not because it's so great, but the location is perfect. Short walk to everywhere in San Jose. The rooms are reasonably clean and small but sufficient for a short stay. No luxury, but also the price is ok with about $ 50/night. What can you expect? The staff is...

This hotel is located near the National Museum which makes it an excellent option to visit the main attractions in the city. Although the facade is not very chip, inside the rooms are very clean and the bathroom is new. Staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price. I would recommend it. Good quality-price.

1 star for the polite service who was even able to call our tour company for us when they were running late to pick us up. 1 star for relatively modern rooms complete with an updated bathroom and crown molding. However there were two beds crammed into a tiny room leaving minimal room to maneuver around our suitcases. Also like...
