Staying at La Boruca was a great way to start and end our Costa Rican vacation. We were traveling to the Caribbean coast and it was a wonderful location to start our drive. The first night we had dinner there and it was very good. We had filet mignon and pork chops. Ken and he's wife had set the perfect...

Arriving late in San José, it was quite a trip to find La Boruca even having GPS. However, the room, the scenery, the kindness of Kenneth, and the breakfast was very nice The place is perfectly located to visit San José, Carthago, the Irazu, etc, provided you have a car. As a secret tip, ask Kenneth to prepare dinner. The...

I have finally found a place to stay on the way out of San Jose toward the Caribe sur coast. Ken, the owner of La Boruca and his family have done an excellent job to welcome travelers. The room was excellent, clean and well appointed with art and class. The personal attention and service was great. The breakfast quesadilla and...

This place is great! The only reason it was not prefect across the board was because it was a little far away from the city proper but you're not missing out as there is very little to see in San Jose. The place was great. Wifi in the rooms which is the only hotel out of 4 that we went...

I found this place on the internet and it was my best choice of all of our trip to Costa Rica. The rooms are luxurious and very comfortable for a very reasonable price. The area is also very quiet and worth going all that way if you want to sleep in tranquility. With a rental car it wasn't that far...

We stayed three nights at La Boruca, a family run hotel in the neighborhood of San Jose, Costa Rica. The place was not easy to find, Google Maps route is just approximately correct and a couple of people in the neighborhood we asked had no idea where it was. In the end, we found someone who knew and that saved...

Very comfortable rooms for an excellent price. Very quiet neighborhood. Spacious rooms, excellent beds. The safari room has an especially nice view. The owner and his wife are very friendly, and serve tasty and varied meals. But beware that everything except room and basic breakfast is charged separately, which can change the value-for-money, especially since the place is a bit...

The best choice I made throughout the trip to Costa Rica was staying at La Boruca. The food was homemade, very tasty and very reasonably priced. Ken, his family and staff were the perfect hosts. Ken knows the country and travel issues very well so he gave us some valuable advice that enabled us to use our time more efficiently,...

We found La Boruca through TripAdvisor, and we were very happy with our stay there. We have stayed in many places in Costa Rica, and this was one of the most comfortable and inviting places that we have stayed. For a place to stay near San Jose -- if you don't want to be right in the city (we did...
