Calvin the owner was so much more than gracious. All my needs were met beyond expectations. Secure, Safe, Close to the action. I've stayed here twice and will continue to do so in the future

Simply put, after being at another place where my stuff got stolen I went to Hotel Tiquicia. The comfort was amazing, the environment was nice and Calvin who runs the hotel was simply one of the most amazing people that I have ever met in my life. When I was there I was treated like family. I spent 17 days in San Jose having dental work done. Reserved my first night at Tiquicia so I would have a place to stay and could look at other alternatives. I looked at other places, but couldn't beat the combination lo price and central location, so I spent all my nights there. Very good breakfast, Available computer to use....

My second time was even better.Outstanding service from concierge Ellis...As Always owner Robinson very helpful.Calvin Robinson is my consiglieri(counselor) in Costa Rica with him u cant talk about anything.,either a relationship or how to start a business in CR Manager Ellis Ellon will move mountains to get whatever u want in San Jose!! I recently stayed at the Hotel Tiquicia for week, I was in San Jose to have major dental work done (nine implants). my dentist told me that I needed 48 hours of bed rest. Hotel Tiquicia is an older hotel that gives you a feeling of a home. Bars resturantes are close. The breakfast was eggs, pancakes, and fruit was very good! The use of the kitchen makes a friendly area for conversations as well as cooking. It is a great value.

Hotel Tiquicia is located in downtown San Jose which is good because you get acces to everything by walk...Also you can ask anything about touristic attractions and ask for reservations...You only have to ask and they will reserve everything for you...

I travel to Costa Rica often and like to try different lodging.My favorite is now Hotel Tiquicia.The owner, Calvin, and staff create a warm friendly environment.They are always available and helpful with directions,local services and travel plans.The hotel is clean and safe.Breakfast is a special treat every morning with a varied individual prepared at your convenience.Hope others will check out...
