I've got mixed feelings of this hotel and stayed here for 6 days: Pro: GREATprice, good location and some staff members are quite helpful. The breakfast is AMAZING!! The variety and taste has to be one of the best I've had. Cons: Parking: I arrived to the Hotel after a +7 hour flight, so I was quite exhausted and wanted to...

This boutique hotel is a wonderful gem perfectly placed in SanJose. It reminds me of some of the quirky hotels just off bourbon in New Orleans. The rooms are nestled in seclusion within the random halls of the facility. The rooms are very basic but just right for a great price. The breakfast is amazing with nothing left out. Fruits,...

Dear Richard D, Wow, thank you for this outstanding review! We are very glad to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Hotel Aranjuez is a fusion of 5 houses built in the 30s, which kept its architectural design intact. We offer a clean and comfortable environment. All our rooms are unique and reflect the infrastructure of the...

There are plenty of food options, like salty, sweet and traditional Tica food as Gallo Pinto, plantains and tortillas with black beans. You can eat all you want for one price. Food taste is good and the place is quite distinctive. Recommend to visit in group.

We only stayed for one night at the end of our holiday, but found this place to be very relaxing after a day walking the streets. I loved the maze like corridors the funnel you around the group of 1930's buildings. The room was large and pleasant. Breakfast was very good and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Dear Dawn, Thank you so much for your great review. Indeed, the Hotel Aranjuez is a fusion of 5 houses built in the 30s, which kept its architectural design intact: that's why the Hotel is "maze like corridors". We certainly look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back to Hotel Aranjuez. Best Regards, Fabián Romero Jara.

I stayed here on the day I arrived in San Jose from London before continuing on with my trip - a hotel recommended by family to me. It's on the opposite side of the city to the airport, however it's certainly in a more desirable/interesting part of town... not that much in San Jose is interesting at all! It's near...

We stayed three different times, received the same great service each time and got to stay in three different rooms. Breakfast on the deck in the garden is very special. We enjoyed the restaurant district only a few blocks walk away.

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of of our vacation. While we were unexpectedly put in the apartments across the street, we were able to enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel proper. The breakfast was amazing, with either seating inside or outside in the garden area. We were within walking distance of local restaurants and tourist sites...

We had 2 stays in Hotel Aranquez,on our way to and from a tour in another part of the country. We had a large modern room in the annex building and a spacious traditional room in the main building, both with ensuite bathrooms. The hotel has combined several old houses for the main hotel . Good display of Costa Rican...

This hotel is just about 6 blocks from the center of the city, so it allows easy access to all the sights the city has to offer.
