Seems like a nice place, but front dorm has bedbugs. 100%. I slept very little last night, but I did collect 12 bedbugs in a ziplock bag which I left with a note at the front desk. I can send photo documentation of the bugs...More
David is ace, very knowledgeable and friendly. The hostel is clean and there is enough outlets in the room to share. The wifi however is horrible. If you go here then log onto the Argentinian restaurant next door. The password I used was CostaRica ....More

There's a bus that goes to San Jose downtown. It's safe and easy. It goes from the International airport to downtown in around 30 min (but depends on the traffic). The bus station, the last stop, is a few blocks walking from the hostel. I did during the day and took me no more than 20 min. The only point is that these blocks on downtown is quite busy during the day but may seem a bit dodgy at night. If so just take a cab from the bus station to the hostel.
