We spent our last night in Costa Rica here. It had mixed reviews but our room was just like the pictures. Very modern and clean. My room has air conditioning but we really didn't need it. The staff was helpful and breakfast was a buffet that was also good. The grocery store is one block away and downtown is a...

I stayed in Autentico Hotel this July and received severe bed bug bites. The bites were so bad they blistered and I had to seek medical attention while in Costa Rica. The rooms were also very run down.

Like many, this hotel was booked by the tour operator so we stayed for one night at the beginning of the tour and one night at the end. We were mother and daughter travelling together and the room we had had 3 single beds - which made it seem cramped. It is a hotel for a one night stay and...

This hotel shows its wear almost as soon as you walk in. Carpets are dirty and need replaced, rooms need painting, new pillows, and electrical upgrades; mite wall sockets and lighting that works. Most disappointing after a long journey was no air conditioning in the hot weather. When I checked at the desk for repairing it I was told it did...

I had the misfortune of staying here either side of a planned tour (they booked it, so I had no choice) The website shows lovely decorated modern rooms, I didn't get to stay in one of those rooms on either nights. Mine was dark with mahogany furniture, dimly lit an something out of the 70's and very dated. It was...

The hotel is close to the central market and mall, taxi ride costs about 1700 - 2300c depending on traffic and walking distance to a small supermarket. Some rooms are nice, others are a bit cramped and small. The rooms face the pool so depending on who's out there and where you are staying it can be very noisy. The...

I stayed for 2 nights during my tour of Costa Rica, one night on my own when I arrived in the country and then 1 night, 3 days later, at the start of my G Adventure tour. Arriving around 9pm for the first night, the reception area all blocked off, with minimal staff, and poor signing to the bedrooms along...

We stayed there two nights before our g adventures tour and one night after. The buffet breakfast was excellent - I especially loved the coffee. There was a pleasant interior courtyard for sitting and with a pool (unheated). The hotel is in a pleasant area for walking around and there was a grocery store nearby. There is a large pleasant...

As part of the tour you stay at this hotel the first and last nights. I also stayed one night extra upon arrival into San Jose. The room was average, comfortable beds with air con. I felt like the lighting was a bit inadequate rendering the room dark and difficult to find things when trying to pack in a rush....

I booked here since my tour group met up here. I booked online since it was a lot cheaper than booking with gadventures. The room I got was European style and it was just so nice upscale and beautiful. Highly reccomend to book direct with hotel ... They will charge you when you check out. The room that came with...
