Stayed at Backpackers for one night after landing into San Jose late afternoon. This is a decent place to stay just as a pass through resort. Rooms are very basic but offer what you need. The showers were stone cold though. Hostel shuttle transfer from the airport is more expensive than other modes of transport such as interbus so I...

We stayed in this hostel on the first and last night of our holiday, in a private room. The room was basic and fairly clean, but the shower was freezing. It was extremely noisy at night and early morning from car horns. The outside area was nice to relax in and the tour desk was useful. We chose the hostel...

Hello, We are sorry to disagree, but we clean our beds everyday, we have a good system for shuttle service, in which people can take it, at the exact time they want and need, there are no limits for that. We also have a kitchen for all our clientes, 2 fridges and 2 different stoves where people can cook, it...

Hello, we try our best to give a good service, but in this case we would really appreciate to know more about the lady who was working on that morning. We have different staff during the mornings. About the noise, we can not change the sound of the train, most the places here in San José are afected for that....

I've stayed here twice, both times I was greeted professionally and was helped with whatever I needed. As in most of Costa Rica, staff speaks English. The hostal is a bit 'tired', as in a little old maybe, but clean enough. Decent beds. Showers with hot water. As everywhere in Central America, I miss towels to dry your hands after...

Hi Maxene, we have cleaning staff 24 hours a day, doing their best to keep the place clean, also, we clean the swiming pool everyday, is true we have had more work with our active volcano, which make everything look dirty because of the ashes, but still we work really hard to fight this situation. And for sure is a...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for New Years Eve. There isn't a lot to do in San Jose but this place is perfect to stay if you're passing through. It has a cafe, cheap bar (with happy hour) and a great seating area and pool for socialising. We had a great night and met loads of people from all...

CRBP is large, has good internet in the common areas, and the staff is friendly. They have a bar with reasonably priced drinks and an order-at-the-window restaurant with good food, even at night around 10pm or later. I met many cool travelers there that I hope to connect with in other places in CR. It is a party hostel and...
