When my friend cancelled on me for our Costa Rica trip I changed plans and booked a room with Hotel Morazon due to its location. It borders Morazon Park and is one block from shopping and restaurants on Central Avenue. It is also a short walk to casinos and night clubs. I booked a junior suite which was quite spacious....

I stayed in one of the Jr Suites for a few night in February and early March. The roomed seemed quieter than usual. I didn't notice noise from the Key Largo complex in this room. There is still plenty of street noise. They are upgrading some of their old window unit AC's. The one in my room was quiet and...

Location - excellent for daytime shopping. Food and staff excellent! Now for the bad stuff--we stayed for 2 weeks and showered in a slow steady stream of cool water-- a bill of $50.00 was presented to us when we checked out for using the telephone for local calls--the lighting, especially in the bathroom, is nearly none and it is impossible...

The rooms are decent, clean, and cozy. The location is perfect, food in the restaurant is wonderful. The casino is fun and always jumping. The staff is great and always helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

It's a bit worn out, and rooms with windows absorb a lot of noise from the club next door. But the service is flawless, staff are friendly, jovial and English speaking. Restaurant is nice, where locals also congregate. San Jose is a rough old place, full of friendly charm and Morazan typifies that essence.

Stayed only one day and did meet the infamous Ricky Ricardo. I thought it was a moderately priced hotel and I got exactly what I paid for. Clean, everything worked, they were very helpful Did not eat there, is guest friendly and the Del Rey is about 1 pretty safe block away. ATM is across the street, several cheap places...

I chose this hotel for price, availability, wifi. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Ricky was as friendly and helpful a person as I have ever met. The room was recently remodeled and everything was perfect. I only stayed at night due to a funeral and family business. I could not stay in the home that my wife was...

Very old and run down rooms. The bed had a hump in the middle. It wasn't a valley which you would expect from an old bed, it had a hump. The room was as clean as they could get it, but the carpets are very old and beyond help at this point. The shower was odd. There is no way...

I have been staying at Hotel & Casino Costa Rica Morazan for about 10 years now every time I visit San Jose. The Ritz Carlton is not but if you are on a budget and looking for a comfortable, well located hotel this is it. There have been improvements in the hotel over the last year as there is new...
