This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in an amazing it was in the Arctic. The manager(Jack) was the best hotel managers I have ever met and was very helpful in a situation that went south earlier in the trip. He knew the town, he knew everything about the town. A person would be nothing less than...

The proprietor was helpful and accommodating. Yes, you remove your shoes when entering and they provide disposable foam slippers to wear inside. Right across the street from the airport. Walking distance to the shore and the Iñupiat Heritage Center. Quiet. Barrow is dry...no alcohol allowed and they take it seriously.

It would be hard to understand why anyone would stay elsewhere in Barrow. The Alaska Airlines terminal is an extremely smallish building. From back to front you are walking about twenty yards. As you exit the front of the building the King Eider is across the street. And the street is narrow. The hotel itself lacks the neon, concrete and...

This hotel is literally across the street from the airport. It's clean and well-maintained. It's also super quiet and I could hardly hear any noise from the airport. The manager Jack is nice and friendly. We enjoyed our time there.

This Motel was cleaner than 90% of the Hotels I have reviewed. The staff is very efficient and friendly. Satellite TV. Free Local calls. You must remove your shoes when you enter the hotel. Walking distance from the airports. but Barrow is easy to get around in.

Loved staying here while visiting barrow. Compared to the other hotels in the area, the King Eider is the best. It is modern, well kept, comfortable and right across the street from the airport. The customer service is superb. The front desk manager immediately helped us out when our tour operator cancelled on us without warning. He found us another...

The room was well appointed; the bed was comfortable. It was warm (55 outside!) and we had to open the window. This allowed a lot of road noise in. We walked all over town. The longest walk was from the cultural center to the hotel (30 minutes). Jack, the manager, was friendly. They rent vehicles for a reasonable (for Barrow)...

I stay at the King Eider when I travel through or stay in Barrow. A no brainer. If you can but up with the strict rules of no shoes in the hotel outside of the front tiled area and strict rules, super clean and pleasant stay. No asphalt roads, so dirt everywhere you go! So it's nice to have a...

This is an excellent choice for a stay in Barrow. It is literally kitty-corner from the airport terminal, the staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is free internet with decent speed, good hot water and free coffee. The bathroom in my room did not have a tub, just a shower, so beware of...

I stayed at the King Eider Inn in Barrow for two nights in June 2014. The inn is in the best location being very close (less than 100 meters I think) to the airport where it is easy to walk to with your baggage. The inn has all the key amenities, the staff very pleasant, is clean and very warm....

“I really do not think there is a "room with a view." But, that was OK. We were on the second floor, there are only two floors, All in all, it's a pretty quiet place. Not sure if the folks on the first floor could hear those on the second walking around. Overall, even when I was in the lobby, it seemed pretty quiet.”
