Hard to imagine feeling at home in such a remote place with such extreme cold, while turning your sleep cycle upside-down. Eric and his employees do just that with comfort food, comfortable room and lounge and their happiness to chat or do anything to be...More

    Questions & AnswersAsk a question
All, I have been reading through all the reviews of Bettle's Lodge and thought you might offer some additional insight as my wife and I are looking at a visit this Sep. We are looking at visiting either before or after a Princess land tour in Sep. If we visit prior to the tour we were looking at around 5-7 Sep and if we visit after it would be around 20-22 Sep. For anyone who has been there in the Sep timeframe I would be interested in thoughts about earlier vs later in the month, even though I realize the wx can vary greatly in any given month. One other thing we are debating is whether to spend 3 or 4 nights - any thoughts about whether we would have plenty to do if we spend 4 nights vs just 3. I realize they offer numerous flying trips or fishing trips at an extra cost but didn't know if there was plenty to do in the Bettles area itself even if we didn't take advantage of those trips that cost extra. Any other tips anyone could offer that might help two 64 year old geezers plan for this undoubtedly once in our lifetime trip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much for your time! v/r, elk55 Aurora, CO
