The lodge has a very good chef, the beds are comfy, and the staff is exceptionally helpful. They make every effort to accommodate you, and are very kind. They really do have cold weather gear. If you're a plus size, just ask, and someone will check what they have to make sure if they have your size. Walking through the...

This is my 2nd time back at Bettles Lodge. It speaks alot why i went back a 2nd time. If the experience wasn't good or if the chances of catching the Lights is not high, i wouldn't have gone back a 2nd time, and potentially a 3rd 4th 5th time. Catching the Lights depend alot on whether there is clouds...

Simple but comfortable lodge in the far North. Great place to go to see the Northern Lights. Good food and friendly staff. Dogsledding outings can be arranged and beautiful countryside. The lodge is well located to the Bettles airfield.

But warm and cozy inside! The Northern Lights had been on our bucket list forever so my husband and I and another couple decided that this was the time - a 50th anniversary celebration! We read a lot about the best possibilities for having good viewing of the Aurora, and decided on Bettles Lodge, based on their location and the...

Bucket list #1....Northern Lights. Not only did we get the lights we received so much more. Eric and Heather (owners) are wonderful people. Ready to lend snow shoes, cross country skis, cold weather gear, phone call when lights are out and so much more. We came as guests and left as family. Chris is a wonderful chef, food was excellent...

Bettles Lodge was an extremely hospitable place, and even though the weather didn't quite co-operate (hence no auroras!) I had a really good time and even went river rafting. Places of interest near the lodge are visitor's centre nearby (where we learnt more about the place and watched videos of the aurora and the history of Alaska), the old Bettles...

Eric & Heather, the new owners of Bettles Lodge, have managed to give guests a little bit of Heaven in the middle of nowhere in Alaska. They & their staff are super friendly, helpful & have their act together. Thanks, Cheryl, for finding my necklace. We enjoyed staying in the Aurora Lodge. Bed comfortable & showers hot. Big commons room....

My wife and I took a trip here to see the Northern Lights. We loved it! The whole trip was a fun adventure, from the Fairbanks to Bettles flight to the dog sledding to the late nights watching the northern lights. The lodge's staff are great and friendly. Bettles only has a population of about 30 in the winter so...

We traveled to Bettles via Warbelow's Air Ventures from Fairbanks, as arranged by Heather at the Lodge. Check-in for Warbelows was in a small building where luggage, backpacks, everything was weighed. Total limit was 40 lbs. Once your items are weighed and marked, they're gone so be sure to take out anything that you might need for the next several...

My husband and I stayed at Bettle's lodge for 2 nights in April, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. The flight to Bettle's was run by a local charter company and the staff were friendly and helpful. The view on the flight was breathtaking and in around 60 mins we were...
