The only reason anyone might want to stay here, is to experience an overwater bungalow for a relatively affordable price. Yes, the overwater bungalows are spacious, but don't expect anything else. Everything is old and rustic and the stories about wasps are true. They are everywhere. Furthermore, service is non-existent and the food we had was close to inedible. It...

We have been to Royal Huahine for a week end. the resort is son the main island but lost in the forest so you can only reach it by boat. We arrived around 3pm and had nothing to eat for lunch so we asked for something. We were told that everything was closed and we could eat for diner from...

The Royal Huahine was comfortable, clean, and very romantic. We'd wake up by diving off the hand rail into the South Pacific even during a rain shower. Giant sailboats cruise in the channel 1/4 mile away. The daily island cruise in the outrigger is a must. If you can run a outboard, you can rent you own to drive around...

We LOVED our time at Royal Huahine. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, and they even had some great free activities for their guests, like a Tahitian dance show and teaching us how to make a flower crown (which I wore at the Tahitian dance show the next night). The overwater bungalows were perfect, with...

I'll make this brief, so you can get the details from other reviews, but this resort was wonderful. Truly postcard perfect and lovely staff. We planned to stay 2 nights, but only had one. I would say it's great for a short stay of 2 or 3 days, but you might feel isolated unless that's what you came for. We...

The plane lands, you take a short trip to the pier, then a short boat ride to the resort. It is not accessible by land and it shows. While you may not have everything perfectly done, one must remember there are no roads to this place but that is what makes it more like paradise. The over water bungalow was...

We stayed at the Royal Huahine this past November on our honeymoon. It was a great time to go. We were probably 1 of only 8 other couples staying at the hotel. They actually upgraded us to an overwater bungalow, which was very spacious and amazing! The entire staff at the hotel was wonderful. Mama Mino was lovely and very...

Interesting airport transfer. It was a quick taxi ride and 15 minute boat transfer straight to hotel reception. Hotel is in a peaceful enclave with no roads in sight. Spacious selection of beach front, lagoon view, garden and deep overwater bungalows. Stayed in deep overwater bungalow. Lovely, spacious, airy, with ceiling fan and air conditioning. Had a mini fridge, kitchen...

We stayed here for our last 5 nights of our 3.5 week honeymoon trip. We were really looking forward to this leg as our relaxation bit after having travelled around 5 of the other islands. The first impression was great but then there were quite a few hiccups which gave the fawlty towers feel of the place. I have listed...
