I think this is the best option of the island. not so much to say about the bungalows which are more or less standard and pretty little too, but the view of the valley that you have in front is breathtaking, certainly the most evocative of the island.

Kia Orana and Atiu itself aren't for those who expect a lot, but they are both charming just the same. The bungalows are tiny but sufficient, with just enough room to make a meal in the electric skillet. The scenery is spectacular. There are lots of roosters crowing all night so ear plugs are needed. There are plenty of pawpaws... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in these bungalows in November. We had really good weather - nearly no rain. We went all around the island on a scooter - this is a must, otherwise no chance to get anywhere. We hired it directly upon arrival. The hosts Ma Tu and Papa Moe are really very nice hospitable Polynesian... More

This review is well overdue- I stayed at Kia Orana Bungalows last year with a friend and am still daydreaming about the relaxation! From the minute we arrived, our beautiful host Jenny and her daughter Mary made us feel right at home and the next few days were absolutely perfect. Many thanks to them for making a peaceful break feel... More

I recently stayed at Kia Orana bungalows with a friend and had 3 really amazing days there. Jenny and Mary are an Australian mother and daughter who have recently started managing the place. They are such beautiful people who consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a magical stay. Mary had made a palm leaf plate with bananas,... More

Kia Orana bungalows were exactly what we were looking for. The first thing our host said to us was "everything here is yours". we had full access to anything growing in the garden which included bread fruit, starfruit, coconut, basil, and chilli to name but a few. Anything we asked for was provided. the hosts are the most beautiful people... More

Simple accomodation. Overlooks the rainforest. Limited housing available on island, but Aitu is the undiscovered gem in the south pacific currently being remodeled and a swimming pool will be installed.
