Whilst we did not spend our 5 nights on Atiu at Atiu Homestay, having been lucky enough to be invited for dinner, we wish we had!
Marshall is an amazing cook, offering far superior food to the accommodation we stayed at and has an extremely comfortable home. He is very welcoming and personable, we would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Atiu.
We also went on both the cave tour and island tour with him which were both amazing and not to be missed.

I had the privilege to stay at Marshall's house for two days on my recent trip to Cook Islands. It became quite apparent to me that Atiu was my favorite island out of all the islands I've visited (Raro, Aitutaki, as well as Palau, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, etc). I love the quietness of the island, often times when I cycled along the coastline, I felt I was the only human being on this planet.

I enjoyed Marshall's hospitality from the moment he picked me up from airport. He was knowledgeable, resourceful, caring, genuine, helpful, and with a warm heart. I felt completely at home in his lovely house. The burial cave tour and Kopeka bird tour he led were must-do items for anyone visiting Atiu.

Have I had the opportunity to return to Cook Islands in the future, I would not bother to stay in Raro or Aitutaki. Don't get me wrong, those are beautiful places, but being there once is good enough for me. Atiu, however, will be the island I would love to return, over and over again, as it holds such a special place in my heart.

Hi Angie, Thanks for taking the trouble to make these comments, it really is such a fantastic platform to help our business. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and yes there is something very special about this island, so when guests find this " somthing special" for themselves, that convinces me that they have really "found" Atiu. Thanks again. Marshall

Thanks so much to Marshall for an awesome time at his place. He is an awesome host and the accomodation is top notch. I was so hot the first night that he made sure I had a fan for the next night. Breakfast was fantastic each day. I really enjoyed the avocado mixture he prepared for our toast. He also cooks his own breads.

If you have enough time in the Cook Islands you really should visit Atui. It really is a world apart from Roratonga with a unique landscape and culture with very few tourists island
Atui home stay is the perfect place to stay. Comfortable, clean, and Mashall is a charming host and excellent cook, as well as having a wealth of knowledge about the Island. He can arrange all the tours on the island which I highly recommend.

First I need to express my gratitude to Marshall for being such an great host. I had lost my luggage and was without my bags for 4 days, all I had was a long sleave shirt and pants, a toothbrush and a bathing suit. Marshall was kind enough to lend me all the things I needed to make the most of my time in Atiu. Because of this I was stress free and had a lot of fun! the stay itself was wonderful, Fresh fruit and home made toast for breakfast, and the dinners he cooked were very good. His home is lovely and not far from good beaches and the small town. He has a scooter and bikes for you to use for easy transport. His tours were also really great, I did the burial caves tour, anatakitaki kopeka bird caves tour and island tour. All were really fun. Marshall is very knowledgeable on the history of the island and its people, as well as all the top sights and spots on the island. It was an ideal start to my solo trip. It was a very fun, laid back but still adventurous experience. I'd stay again forsure!

We had an excellent time staying at Atiu homestay! Marshal is a great host, making everyone absolutely welcome. Great knowledge of the island, history, nature etc. Enjoyed his driving tour around the island and especially the walking tours to the caves. the only downside was that we only had 3 days on the island - definitely make sure you have more time!

This was an amazing place to stay! My partner and I stayed with Marshall for just two nights which was certainly not long enough! The accommodation was excellent- very comfortable, clean (and I loved reading on the window seat in the living room) and the breakfast each day was fresh and delicious. Marshall was an absolutely fantastic host, very helpful and caring and we enjoyed getting to know him during our stay. We went on the Island Tour and Anatakitaki Cave tour, both of which were informative and highly enjoyable. This was a beautiful island, the highlight of my trip, and we cannot wait to visit again!

Aitu home stay was fantastic and Marshall was an awesome host. Food was too notch for every meal and his knowledge of the island was great. Loved his island tours into the local caves. Coconuts were supplied to take on beach walks loved every minute there. Its a great unspoilt island made all the more enjoyable staying at Aitu home stay.

We stayed for four nights at the Atiu home stay. Jeanne was away but Marshall more than made up for it by being an attentive host, sensitive to our individual needs and privacy. He was also a fund of knowledge about the island. I brought some of Jeanne's lovely art works available in the sitting room. The bedroom was quiet small but we were welcome to use the rest of their spacious, comfortable home. The bed we slept in was excellent with good linen. I spent an afternoon on a deck chair on the deck and wandering in the lovely grounds. They have bikes you can hire to cycle around the island's many roads.

We also went on a tour to the bird caves with Marshall. The short hike to the caves required some concentration to walk over the coral track. We were rewarded by a beautiful if slightly tricky walk (some of the surfaces were wet at that time) through the cave system with its breath taking stalactites and the amazing bird the kopeka which flies in total darkness.

We cannot wait to return. It was a warm Atuian welcome from start to finish.

We had a great stay at Atiu homestay. You share the house with the owner (Marshall) and other guests (if there are any, we were alone). The house is big, very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is great, with fresh fruit of the season, toast and more. Marshall is a very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and talkative host and we learned a lot about Atiu and the Cook Islands in general. He also does many of the tours on the ighland and they are very informative and highly recommendable. Cant go wrong at this great place and island!
