This resort is overpriced and not a 5 star. Charging for shuttle and, literally a stone throw distance, ferry is ridiculous. No spa onsite but you can go somewhere else instead. Restaurants are overpriced, quality is mediocre and the beach bar does not allow shirtless or swimwear...it's a beach and there's sand! The pool is tiny. Overwater bungalows have holes... More

Our time spent at the resort was amazing but we considered this to only rate 3 1/2 star not 5!!!! Our room deluxe beachfront was superb inside but no awning or umbrella shade on verandah to block out sun and rain, to be able to enjoy the outdoors and fabulous view. Staff have much to learn, smiles where rare and... More

We visited Aitutaki Lagoon resort for our Honeymoon and it was lovely! The location is the best on the island as you are right on the lagoon. We'd just come from staying at their sister resort 'Sanctuary Raratonga' which was horrible (don't stay there) so we were feeling a bit apprehensive.. however we were greeted with Lays and fresh chilled... This resort is the only one located directly on Aitutaki lagoon, so the views are stunning. Insect repellant is a must, as it is on its own little island with lots of trees and vegetation. The rooms are well equipped, though they would benefit from a mini bar and snacks in the room, as when it rains it REALLY rains,... More

I had read the bad reviews when researching a place to stay in Aitutaki. Sad to say they seemed pretty accurate right from the boat driver to the server at the restaurant. We came here for lunch due to the great location but wish we didn't. Most expensive meal on the island (not worth it though) and they charge an... More

Kia Orana Aitutaki Lagoon Resort is on its own beautiful private island, directly on the lagoon and is accessed by a private resort ferry. Our in-house guests choose the resort for its laid back luxury with very comfortable bungalows, full services and privacy in the most idyllic location. You did not pay to come across on the resort’s ferry and... More

First of all, if you are headed here expecting a 5 star experience similar to what you would expect in a major city, you are headed in the wrong direction. However, if you want a laid back and luxurious few days in paradise, on the most beautiful lagoon in the world, then you have chosen wisely! 5 nights in an... More

We have just got back from a beautiful week in Aitutaki. We spent 8 days at this resort. We were impressed with the level of service at the greeting and check in as we were not expecting a lot from the resort due to such disparaging comments on trip adviser. Exceptionally beautiful location, very pleasant beachfront cabins. We were on one of the over water bungalows. If you can, book bungalow 37 as it is on the end and and has unimpeded views of the reef and no neighbors on the right. It is the most secluded of the seven bungalows. When this resort was new it might have been... More

Stayed at one of the beachfront bungalows for 5 nights and the views were spectacular. Private, quiet, and relaxing resort. Great swimming and calm channels of water right in front of your bungalow. My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Aitutaki Lagoon and we were very disappointed to say the least. We are worldwide travellers and stay in 4-5 star luxury, however this resort should not even pass as a 3 star resort, in service and ambience. The resort itself is really run down, outdated, and needs a complete refurbish. The... More
