Tamanu Beach has a sign outside describing itself as “Casual Luxury”, but the fact that the “u” is missing, probably sets the scene. We had booked a Studio Garden Room, but were informed before we arrived that the resort is being refurbished and we had been upgraded to a Family Room. Our room was spacious and clean, but also getting...

No holiday in The Cook Islands would be complete without a trip, or hopefully if you can, a stay in Aitutaki. So 23 years after our first trip to Aitutaki, we were back. We were so pleased we booked Tamanu Beach for our 5 night stay. The warm welcome our family of four received when we arrived at the airport...

My wife and I spent 2 weeks over Christmas 2016. Room was clean and fresh, comfortable bed, and looked exactly like the promotion pictures, and our deck looked over the azure lagoon. The hotel staff were unfailingly friendly & assisted wherever requested. The restaurant is regarded as one of the best on the island and we returned more often than...

We stayed at Tamanu Beach Resort for three nights in October 2015 and could not have made a better choice of resorts! Our accommodations were spacious and clean; the bed was very comfortable. The onsite restaurant serves fabulous meals, with dinner being amazing. The owners of the property are onsite and very concerned that guests are happy. The beach is...

I could write a great long winded review, but it isn't necessary as my wife and I had an absolutely fabulous time. The location, staff, food, snorkelling, room, weather, beach, gardens were just wonderful. The Island night on a Thursday evening was great, well worth watching especially the Fire show. The food was lovely especially the "Ika Mata" an absolute...

Visualize thatched roof bungalows over looking a shimmering tropical lagoon. This is the Tamanu Beach resort. One of the best locations on Aitutaki. 5 stars. The Tamanu Beach staff, Nick, the manager, and Masi, the head chef. My kind of hoteliers. 5 stars again. The food at the Tamanu and also Rarotonga soooooo good. Not a single issue in the...

Aitutaki is absolute paradise and Tamanu Beach is situated on the most beautiful lagoon I've ever seen. The water is warm and crystal clear and we used the free snorkels, stand up paddle boards and kayaks every day. The one bedroom villas are a really decent size, we stayed in 208 and it was really quiet. The shutters block out...

Spacious, modern beach villas situated on the beautiful lagoon of aitutaki. Large deck area, plus very roomy bathroom and shower creating luxury. Bedroom and living room again very spacious and comfortable particularly after having stayed in smaller bungalows (some space is nice!) Lacking however in cooking facilities which was a let down since the restaurant had no vegan options and...

Kia Orana Rhianna, Thanks so much for the review. There is always room for improvement and we appreciate the feedback. We are working on new menus with 'vegan' & vegetarian options. This is still a concept restaurant staff in Aitutaki are getting to grips with. The educational process is happening but will take a little more time to build confidence...

While we were not staying here while in beautiful Aitutaki we visited the restaurant for dinner, our order was lost and when it finally did arrive was inedible and nothing like what was described on menu.
