My son and I took our first Alaskan fishing trip in July 2016 to the Bristol Bay Lodge--it was an Alaskan experience of a lifetime! As a frame of reference, I've heli-skied almost 3 million vertical feet with CMH, so I am accustomed to nothing but the best of everything on an adventure vacation. After spending 5 nights and full...

I have fished all over the country and this was by far my best experience ever. The fishing was fantastic but not as great as the people and the service. Every detail is taken care of and you feel like family from the moment they pick you up at the airport. Steve and his crew are the best, top notch...

My 4th trip to BBL. Each year it continues to amaze me as to the quality and attentiveness of the staff. They anticipate your every need, most of the time before you actually realize what those needs are. The staff knows you by name, which is a very nice touch. The quality of the fishing and especially the outback camps...

Whether it's arriving, departing, flying to a spike camp, overnighting at their unpararelled fishing outposts, feasting on the best shore lunch ever or catching the largest salmon & trout of a lifetime Steve Laurent & Team BBL do it all with seamless perfection & genuine warmth. The stunning scenery is breathtaking, the wildlife bountiful & the fishing is epic. Their...

As a former editor-in-chief of Sports Afield magazine and a television producer who has spent countless hours researching the best of Alaska's tremendous outdoor adventures, Bristol Bay Lodge is the best of the best. There is simply no lodge with a better location to epic and diverse fishing than BBL, and the staff are expert and helpful no matter your...

I hate reading long reviews so I tried to keep this short... I think the pictures do a much better job of telling the story... We had 5 people in our group: my business partner and myself (middle aged), one kid each (14 & 12) and a grandpa (old :)). None of us had any fly fishing experience and very...

The fishing was extraordinary! Too many to count rainbows 16” to 20”, too many to count dollies 15” t0 30”, too many to count pinks, sockeye, grayling, kings, pike etc. etc. And I am mediocre fly fisherman! Here’s what you will experience: After a 1.5 hour twin engine turbo prop flight from Anchorage to Dillingham, AK you then take a...

This place is world class! We caught more fish than I've caught anywhere in my life. The staff was incredible and the food was top notch. The guides were very knowledgeable and put us on fish every day. I would recommend this trip to any skill level fisherman. This is truly a trip of a lifetime!

The Bristol Bay Lodge offer the best variety and opportunity for catching fish I have encountered. They took us to different rivers and out-camps every day. Each experience was different though the hospitality was great from all Staff and guides. Lodges were nice and clean but not over the top - but they focus on what you came there for...
