We stayed 2 separate nights before and after going to Kennicott. The hotel kindly let us leave our car there while we took the shuttle to Kennicott. The 1st night we had a room with a new bed and pillows and TV, but the room itself and bathroom needs new fixtures. The 2nd night was horrible. The bed was hard...

If you just need a place to crash with full service hookups this campground will meet your needs. Don't expect any type of beautiful landscape or extraordinary service. This campground has what you need for an overnight stay. Surface is gravel and River Rock. Most sites are level. Price is high at $35 imho but when you really need full...

This hotel needs a total do-over. The lobby is the only thing that is ok. The hallways are old, dirty and the walls are paper thin. The rooms are minimal with pealing paint, stains on the walls, dirty carpet, the mattresses were lumpy and the bedspread was torn and full of holes. The sheets were full of spots. We would...

$140 middle of nowhere, only place in town. my freshly updated GPS did not found the place, small room, not friendly place. Drive south to the junction might find a better place, I don't know if cheaper, but may be better.

Smart Alaska travelers will build itineraries that make sure they do not have to stop in Glenallen. Some rooms are renovated and have at least one new mattress we were told, after a one-star level stay four years ago on the worst hotel mattress ever. "...have at least one new mattress?" That means exactly what it says - our two...

Wifi connection was fast, views are great, beds are clean. Came here in the summer to visit Wrangell park, and there aren't many hotels nearby. It's a small town, so the hotel really turned out to be better than we had expected.

I was very dissapointed at how neglected the maintenance is. The carpets and furniture are stained. You can feel the soap scum on the shower curtain. The rooms and hallways have a musty smell. When i see a business like this I wonder if the owners dont care or dont know any better.

This hotel has done some sort of renovation that makes it look ok. The water is NOT brown. It is clear and not like in the pictures. This has two queen beds and fit us as a family of four. The aroma was alright and they could get rid of the carpet. Staff was friendly but we went to the...

The Caribou Hotel was exactly what you think a small town hotel would be. However, with the recently good reviews and the price tag I expected more. Upon entering the room I realized why there were such good reviews-- they offer $20 off if you leave good reviews on Yelp and trip advisor (see picture). I clearly won't be getting...
