I have had the opportunity to stay here numerous times over the years. You would think that this was an endorsement, but it is not. The reason I have stayed here is because I like to fish nearby and there are no other hotel choices for my usual party size (8 people). We booked a "suite" with two bedrooms plus...

Didn't stay at the hotel but attempted lunch at the adjoining restaurant. The sights and smells were overpowering! Filthy best describes the furniture, facilities and fixtures. One trip to the restrooms and sight of the kitchen had us up and gone before ordering! Hopefully the health inspector will soon appear!

We booked a suite to have more room. However, the room was not very clean, and that is being nice, and everything needs maintenance. We got space, but that was it. It is the only game in town and the front desk staffs good, they just need to have staff that really cleans and the entire place needs work.

Checked in at a cost of $150. The room(s) are old and in need of a total makeover. It was clean but that was the only thing I could say I liked. The first room, tv remote didn't work, neither did the shower. We were asked if we wanted to use the shower, communal I assume. After declining we were...

This motel is deceiving. From the road, driving by, it (and its restaurant) look rather quaint and attractive. The reviews here, though, indicate the quality of the product behind the facade. I was fortunate enough to have read the reviews for the Caribou before staying in Glennallen and I stayed at one of the local B&Bs instead (see Tripadvisor’s reviews...

We booked the jacuzzi suite in hopes of having a relaxing first night in Glennallen. Although the tub was there as promised it wasn't as clean as I'd expect it to be. It took about a half hour to fill the tub, which was located in the bedroom, surrounded by carpet... once it was full a grimy layer came from...

We have stayed at the Caribou Hotel twice. The first time was bad, but thought we'd give them a second chance. Mistake. Both times the rooms we're dirty - obviously they had not been thoroughly cleaned in months (if ever). Dirt and grime in the corners and the rooms had an overall dingy, unclean feel. Dark brown water came out...

Just to start with, I have never written a bad review for an establishment before, so I'm not sure how to even begin with this one. Driven all day (and into the evening) and needed a place to stay and only had some travel books to rely on for a place. Caribou Hotel seems to be the only place in...

While in Alaska, I had to suddenly change our route and so I booked a night at the Caribou Hotel without reading any reviews. After doing so, I saw that there were some not-so-good reviews and was very nervous. I even went out and bought "bath slippers" in case the tub was gross and dirty with mold. There are really...

Service EXCELLENT. I left my cellphone in the room and they mailed it back to me within just days. I was surprised! THANK YOU. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This is an average hotel and a nice place to stay for a break between Valdez and Anchorage.
