I made reservations at Halsingland Hotel for two couples in July whilst on a cruise in May. We were impressed with the owner's friendliness and willingness to work with us in booking rooms for our driving trip when we did not know our exact dates in July. When we did stay in the hotel, we loved our rooms and their...

DON'T stay here dirty, wood rot every where, no cleaning or customer support what so ever. An embarrassment to a otherwise beautiful and friendly town. Washrooms only half functioning may beer bottles an cans everywhere cannot believe they want $35.00 for a slum. Pcs of toilet paper all over men's room one toilet gone hole cover by a rarely used...

We were excited to have dinner here, it was recommended. We were so disappointed. The water was room temperature, no ice. The dinner was on the scale of an Arthur Treachers'. We really wanted an up-scale dinner, but it wasn't there.

A nice hotel well located in Haines. We enjoyed two good dinners here, and found our corner room to be large and comfortable. Not all rooms are large, as our friends in an adjacent room found out. Good bar and nice lobby. We have come to expect WiFi reception in hotel rooms; an element that is missing at this hotel.

Musty but clean. This hotel is situated on the side of the parade grounds in old Ft. Seward. It is convenient for walking to restaurants and town and provides good views morning and evening. We had a corner room overlooking the bay which meant we were able to open our windows for a nice evening breeze. The bed was firm...

Friendly, comfortable hotel. If you don't care about modern it's terrific. Beautiful views, nice setting, spacious room. The only not so good aspect was that breakfast didn't really exist. And wifi was limited to the lobby.

This is an old-fashioned hotel that is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Gina picked us up from the Alaska ferry at 2:30 a.m. and was so pleasant. Everyone worked with us to make us feel at home. The room are not fancy; just clean and very comfortable. A great value in Haines. Had homemade sweet breads and...

We planned to sleep one night in the hotel but we finally decided to cancel our reservation. They did it without any problem and were such nice people to us. Even though we haven't slept in the hotel, its exterior is wonderful and offers a great view on the ocean. I truly recommend you to go there
