Birch house is sweet, has a great view, and the hot tub is prime, serious props to the guys that designed the tub. Ergonomic comfy, and for two consenting adults what a blast. Hours of fun or hours of silent beauty. Your choice. Kitchen is nice, the joyful is cool, I’d recommend moving the remote, looking all over the machine for a button wouldn’t realize the remote is behind you on the wall. Beds are comfy Sink and vanity are proper size, restroom is simple. It’s all you need. Not a place for games. Utensils provided but no food, some condiments. I loved the keurig, simple, but welcome. The in floor heating is a plus and lack of carpet is very nice. Big windows around the house, huge views, and they also are built for playing with large sturdy upper rig beams, keep the weight on them under 200/1 person ormyoull be fixing them, for “ holding not hanging” There is a stated fireplace but not close,to,the house. No worries just not a great idea in winter if it’s windy.. cold is no fun. And topping this off, if you call ahead you can simply show up and enter your domicile, and interact with the staff at the end if need be. I will be returning. Thank you Baycrest and thank you Jenn.…
Date night for my husband and I. We loved the privacy. Private hot tub, good amenities and the room was clean. We stayed in the Fireweed Suite. Was a little noisy from footsteps, so we'll rent Alder next time. Definitely be back!
We had 4 people staying in the house at Lupine and 3 over at the Fireweed (all at Baycrest) for Thanksgiving. We had huge yards to build snowmen in, giant fiercest with tons of wood and marshmallow roasting sticks as well as a clean and (checked daily) hot tub. the kitchen was stocked with all of the kitchen needs for a Thanksgiving for 7. I recommend it - 5 stars
This property was excellent from start to finish. The private hot tubs are a sure sell but also go for the view, relaxing and well appointed furnishings, good lighting and enjoyable extras - they use a hand/body soap made locally that is SO divine. It is a drive to town and if the weather is not favorable you''ll want to make sure to have stocked up to stay in at the local Safeway store (complete with its own Starbucks cafe). The units have Weber grills if you like to cookout ours was located right out our door. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items needed to make home made meals. We stayed M-F and would have gladly stayed longer, our plan to return in summer next time around. Thank you to the wonderful owners who live onsite and helped us jump our rent-a-car dead battery too and make it back to Kenai in time for our flight.…
My husband and I stayed in the Alder suite for two nights this October. We're from Anchorage and it seems everytime we go to Homer, we've stayed in different locations. Not any more! This place is fantastic and will be are top choice for future visits. We loved the upper unit (Alder) and definately enjoyed the private hot tub. We follow pandemic protocol and were very comfortable with the cleanliness of the accommodations and how our questions were answered.
