What makes us stand out from the other B&B's is our breakfast. We
start with a fresh fruit bowl including
Strawberries from our garden (when in season). We also have
homemade pastries and you will always be
served one of our house specialties. You might even get our famous
Cranes Rest peach French toast! You
will always have a hearty breakfast to help get you through
whatever adventures you have planned for the day.
If you need to leave early we will fix you our homemade to go
breakfast sandwich, fresh fruit, a granola bar,
OJ. and a fresh pastry. There are always fresh baked cookies in the
common area upstairs for you to enjoy
any time of day.
Another thing that makes us stand out is our bedding. We offer
plush beds for a comfortable night's sleep.
All of our sheets are high quality and the blankets plush and warm.
All rooms have En-Suite bathrooms,
satellite TV, WI-FI, a hair dryer and a coffee/tea maker.
We are located 6.5 miles outside of Homer (15-20 min) in a more
relaxed atmosphere and, as our guest
have told us, a million dollar view. This is the perfect place to
wake up to, or to sit at the end of the day with
something to drink and relax.
So come stay with us at the Cranes Rest B&B and enjoy our wonderful
flower beds and our beautifully
landscaped yard and all Homer has to offer.

My husband and I had a fishing charter booked for Thursday but our booking got pushed due to the weather and high winds. With our vacation extended, we had to find another place to stay for one more night. Oh, we had our 2 pups with us also. We were a little challenged, to say the least. I called Keith&Melissa @ Crane’s Rest and they welcomed us with a generous room and an awesome breakfast the next morning. Their hospitality was second to none. They are on our top list for B&B’s in Homer. I highly recommend you give them a visit.
Wonderful B&B. Great location with spectacular views. Wonderful hosts. Very friendly folks with an excellent home cooked breakfast and great knowledge of the Homer area. Very comfortable room. We highly recommend this B&B.
Keith and Melissa were gracious and excellent hosts. We loved every part of our stay and will no doubt return before too long. My wife and I have previously had bad experiences with bed and breakfasts but we have had our faith restored. The grounds are beautifully kept and provided excellent views and photo opportunities. We stayed in peek fireweed season and there were purple flowers everywhere. We enjoyed the views of Kachemak Bay and Grewingk Glacier. The room was comfortable and it did feel like coming home after long days of tours and hiking. Our first day we had an early morning departure and Keith was up before us to provide a freshly-cooked packed breakfast. It was just as delicious as the other breakfasts we had at their table overlooking the bay. Those breakfasts were hearty enough to power us through the rest of our day, I don't think we felt the need to eat lunch once.…
We loved the flowers, the property and our suite on the main floor! I had read a lot of reviews before booking this and my main concern was not being anywhere near loud, noisy groups. This property was perfect! Because it is not walking distance to the harbor or the spit, the peacefulness and quiet is well worth the 5-10 min drive to the harbor. The hosts are very welcoming and even let us use their personal living space so our group could eat dinner together inside (it was raining outside). We are looking forward to a return visit.
