A decent budget motel. If you fancy preparing your own breakfast, there is a store nearby, otherwise head for the Cafe Next Door (and yes it is next door!) The hotel does provide a free shuttle to the airport and the ferry terminal (quite a...More
We stayed here twice during our visit to Alaska, and most of the time in Juneau, we were coming and going to other places.
Therefore, the Driftwood was the perfect place to stay. Their shuttle service to both the airport and ferry terminal was exceptional...More
From the shuttle picking me up from the airport, to dining at the adjacent chinese restaurant to buying sundries at the adjacent general store, to the shuttle back to the airport, my entire visit was delightful.
There are no elevators, so if mobility is a...More
Older motel. It wasn't bad it just wasn't great. It was pretty clean except for the carpet. The carpet really needed cleaning. Would I stay there again? Possibly, but I would check prices elsewhere first. The staff however was very nice and accommodating. Mostly the...More
The hotel is not exceptional but considering the prices of the other hotels in Juneau it's a very good value.
The centre of Juneau is at about q0 minutes walking.
Moreover, we used the shuttle to and from the airport. Very convenient.

Our Two Bedroom Suite would be the best option. The first bedroom is open to the kitchen/living room areas. Some rooms have a short hallway, while others have the kitchen in the hall. The bathroom is in this first bedroom. The second bedroom has a door that separates it from the first bedroom.
About one third of these rooms have a queen and two twins, with the two twins being in the second bedroom. Some rooms have hide a bed in the living room, but we can also provide a roll away bed or make up the couch for the fifth person.
We can provide a room with plenty of sleeping space for the whole family, but I like to advise our guests to consider whether they will be comfortable with this layout before they book. It usually works well for families, but is a bit less ideal for couples traveling together. Some people find the location of the bathroom and the fact that the first bedroom is open to the living area uncomfortable due to lack of privacy.
