My family went to Crooked Creek blind, only having seen an add in the local fishing paper. We could not have been more surprised and pleased. On the night we arrived, another large party of fisherman from Hawaii were there, celebrating their catch. Hence we began the stay with a yard party, filled with new friends, sashimi and the most...

Thank you for the review. I will never forget you and your family and I enjoy following you on Facebook. I too look forward to the time you can come back for a visit. Your sons were so helpful in helping to get me tech'd up. Thank you and don't stay away too long.

My wife and I were looking to fish the Kenai Peninsula without the worry of the "uncertainties". We were more than pleased with the friendly welcome and hospitality of Aunt Dorothy from the moment we arrived until our departure. Every day was an adventure; from the fishing ,the fly-out, the excellent meals and the evening conversation with other guests. Dorothy...

Crooked Creek Guide Service, Cabins and RV Park is a priced-right, well run, rustic, no frills place. If you are looking for fresh flowers on your pillow and fine wine with dinner you will not be happy here but if your idea of a great time is rising at 3:00 AM to get on the water by dawn, starting the...

What a perfect place to stay and see what Alaska has to offer. My wife, two girls and I started visiting Crooked Creek and Dorothy, affectionately none by all as, Auntie Dorothy when the girls were 8 and 9. This has been our third trip back and just as memorable as the first. The lodge is located very central to...

I stayed at the lodge in July for 8 days with my father. When we arrived we were shown to our room and given a tour of the lodge. We had booked 4 days of fishing in the package which were all set up for us when we arrived. I must say the food was awesome and the views incredible....

My sister, myself and our hubbies were welcomed by Dorothy when we arrived. Our rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and had amazing views of Crooked Creek and surrounding grounds. The large "family room" downstairs offered a large flat screened TV and comfortable sitting for many. We could watch whatever we desired on the TV. The upstairs "sitting room" and eating area...

Crooked Creek Retreat was the home of my first trip to Alaska, and it may just be the only place I ever stay when I return. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, luxurious lodge setting with a great view, fantastic food, and wonderful people who know the surrounding area inside and out, then this is the place for...

I stayed at Crooked Creek Retreat during my first ever trip to Alaska in August 2012. The lodge was wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the lodge and grounds provided something for everyone during the afternoon/evenings after returning from daily excursion trips—a large yard for games, a campfire pit for s’mores and storytelling, a large wrap-around deck to sit,...

Well, it has been 3 months (June 2012) since we took our trip to the Crooked Creek Retreat, for our belated-honeymoon-Alaskan-adventure, & I can still recall the pros & cons. We have nothing but great stories & happy memories about Alaska, but as far as the retreat goes we have more frustrations than anything else. First of all, we purchased...

Check the review immediately following, they were here at the same time. These guests flew standby, and were bumped. I had no idea where thety were. They arrived in the middle of the night, past any time they were expected. The husband arrived ill. I simply do not recognise the complaints. The room is lovely and often requested. They made...

Our family celebrated my husband's parents' anniversary with a trip to Alaska this year, for fishing and fun. Our all-inclusive stay at Crooked Creek Retreat was arranged through Russell Fishing Co. and included a daily fishing adventure. Our family group of 6 included two flying in from Texas, one from Kentucky, one from Homer, and two from Hawaii. Crooked Creek...
