If you want to go to Alaska to fish, this is the place. Really well organized staff and facility, down to ever single detail. Even lunch ! If food is important to you, you will not be disappointed. So much yummy food in the middle of the bush. The boats and equipment were even brand new or almost new. Everything...

Thanks for the glowing review! Obviously we're sport-fishing fanatics, but fishing is even more fun when you're well-fed and get to sleep in a comfortable bed at night. We enjoy bringing a little taste of Alaska to the table with options like duck and elk in addition to old favorites. Hope you enjoyed them. And hope you come back and...

After a less than positive experience in 2015, I could not be happier to have returned again to Waterfall in 2016. We had a wonderful time, consistent with the many years prior to 2015 that I had visited. The place has its own special charm and a place in my heart for its natural beauty alone. The scenery and wildlife...

We're pleased our efforts to continuously upgrade the experience here made a difference, and that you had a better experience this summer. We hope you'll find even more...

My wife and I visited Waterfall Resort over the 4th of July holiday and had a wonderful time. The resort lives up to all the superlative reviews on every level. From the moment you step into the float plane that takes over the Misty Fjords to the time you are delivered back to Ketchican is first rate all the way....

Thanks for the great review! We're so glad you joined us to celebrate Fourth of July in America's "last frontier." Hope you enjoyed the fireworks! We believe the only way to make fishing in these waters even better is to complement them with good food, friendly service and well-kept accommodations. We're pleased to hear it made a difference for you,...

Waterfall resort is nothing fancy but the scenery is awesome! All the wildlife and beauty make up for what is lacking in the accommodations. I'm not too picky when it comes to outdoor trips so this place was perfect. The food was good, not over the top but definitely plenty of it. The flight down on the float plane was...

Thanks for your review, and congrats on catching the big one! We're glad you enjoyed the incredible Alaska wilderness and wildlife around the resort, and that you appreciated the historic accommodations here. It's certainly an outdoorsy experience with a focus on fishing, but for guests who prefer upgraded accommodations we recommend our deluxe Egg House Suites or our family-sized Tongass...

My husband and I have been going to Waterfall since 2009. We are avid fisher 'people' but had never thought to go to Alaska until a friend had recommended to go there. The staff makes you feel right at home and the fishing is phenomenal! After our first trip, we had read up on other resorts to try but nothing...

Thank you for the glowing review! It's especially meaningful coming from folks who know their fishing and who have researched other lodges. And while the focus is on the fishing here, of course, we believe it never hurts to throw in a little comfort as well... from good food to cozy beds to warm, friendly service. We're happy you enjoyed...

Wow, 15 years! Thanks for the review, and also for being such a long-time fan of the resort. It's true the salmon fishing here is pretty spectacular, as is all the amazing wildlife from humpback whales to orcas, bald eagles to sea otters, or even just black bears dining on our local pink salmon as they swim up the creek...

Thanks for the kind words. Great insider tip on the cookies! Admittedly the fishing here is pretty spectacular, but we try to make it an even better experience with good food, comfy accommodations and warm, friendly service. Waterfall Resort is a friendly fishing community. The grounds and buildings are charming and if you are lucky enough to be on the water pretty beautiful.
