The view was phenominal with no other like it in Ketchikan :) The host, Dale, was courteous and shared information that enriched our total experience. Our expectation was for a warm bed, showers, a place to rest after a busy day of touring, at an affordable price. We received all of that and more. We recommend this Hostel to others...

If you want to find the real Ketchikan then this is the place. The view from the balcony is to die for. This is Dale's home and as he has lived there for many many years he has a lot of knowledge of Ketchikan. Where the best walks are, where to go and view the Bears and the best places...

Visiting Ketchikan: spur-of-the-moment 1 week trip. Stayiing at Eagleview Hostel: one of the best experiences of the entire trip! Dale, the owner, became like family. His world travel stories are interesting. Obey hostel rules, clean up after yourselves, and be nice -no issues. Loved meeting people that stayed there who were traveling from all over the world. I highly recommend...

This is not your typical hostel. You are sharing Dale's home. If you just want to party and not take a little care of Dale's home - he will let you know that you are not welcome. Otherwise, if you take the time to talk with Dale, and treat the place like you would your own home - then you...

I was prepared for staying on Dale's good side after reading reviews of his hostel. I spent 4 days there, and did not have any problems personally with Dale, but I knew the possibility of confrontation was there if something was done to Dale's disliking. The hostel is located up a steep hill, If you're not up to it, take...

It's a warm place. It has a good feeling about it. I stayed there for a week, I enjoyed it. Beautiful view towards the harbour. Dale is alright, what is wrong with you people. I recommend, if you are not fussy.

I've stayed here several times, over the years. I found it clean and comfortable. It's high on a hill, so you will need to be in shape for hiking from the nearest bus stop. Yes, the host can be ornery, sometimes. The location is nice, with a great view from the host's sitting room. It's fairly handy to the Safeway...

This hostel is great for any stay in Ketchikan! The views from the warm, ecclectic living room and wrap around balconies are breathtaking. I could have stayed outside much more if it was not raining. There is a great waterfall just behind the property and on the street- how cool is that! Our hostel host Tim was super knowledgeable about...

We were expecting the worst from this place after reading the reviews, however we were pleasantly suppressed to find it was clean and comfortable. Dale was defiantly an interesting character. As long as you take him with a pinch of salt he is actually nice and is genially concerned for his guests safety (even if he did sound like a...
