We stayed at the BEAR in August and had a delightful experience. Nicole and Jim welcomed us into their home / Inn and took care of everything, including doing some shopping for us pre visit. Just found photos. ...

Stayed at the Black Bear Inn September of 2015 for deep sea fishing and sightseeing. This Inn is in a great location, right on the water where you can watch the ships come in and the whales play right from your room or from the patio. The owners, Nichole and Jim, were excellent hosts and went well above and beyond...

Stayed at the Black Bear for three nights the last week of September. The room was wonderful. We had a small enclosed balcony with a table and a separate entrance. There were few guests when we were there, and as a result parking was no issue. The owner was pleasant and friendly when we saw her, but didn't intrude on...

Pre- small ship cruise stay in rainy Ketchikan. We are certainly glad we decided to stay here. Innkeepers offered to set-up our rental car and Bear viewing tour - terrific service. Some may prefer a fixed sit-down breakfast, but how nice it was to wander downstairs at the time of our choice and sit watching the ships ply by. Beautiful...

I stayed at the Black Bear Inn while visiting Ketchikan for a few nights in June. The location is out of town, which is great for peace and quiet. The hosts are amazing, and will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable, including booking outings for you. Nicole is one of the nicest innkeepers I have ever had...

The Black Bear Inn is a definite 5+/5+ B&B / mini-Hotel in the otherwise rough and tumble SE Alaska locale of Ketchikan. I didn't expect such a special locale here, after having stayed in 5-6 different pretty average Route 66 type Hotels in Ketchikan over the last 20 years. Wow, Sue & I were happily surprised by the boutique atmosphere...

This is a wonderful haven for rest and relaxation. Nicole and Jim are angels! We loved the time we spent there and would stay again in a heart beat. The setting is right on the water. We sat in the hot tub and quietly watched the sunset. We slept with windows open and listened to the birds and wildlife. What...

We had an amazing six day honeymoon in Ketchikan staying in the bunkhouse cabin at the Black Bear Inn! The cabin was cozy, clean, close to the ocean, and the perfect place for a couple to stay in Ketchikan! We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning in the main house, the hot tub and grilling area by the ocean,...

My husband and I live in Ketchikan and the only place we’d want our visiting families to stay is the Black Bear Inn! Nicole and Jim are great hosts with countless recommendations. The rooms feel like home and are very clean. The real gem of the inn is the outside seating areas that overlooks the Tongass Narrows. Perfect summer sunset...
