We found this wonderful place on Tripadvisor, it had great reviews so we stopped in. We told our server that we had to have our rental car back to Anchorage very soon and that we were in a hurry. We quickly ordered and the Chef indulged our need for speed. Wow! The meal was wonderful. Hubby had a steak and...

Our tour group enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch before venturing to the Matanuska Junction, Musk Ox Farm and Fireside Book Store in the charming, small farm town of Palmer, Alaska. This building used to house the local school teachers. Majestic mountains, vast farm lands (which grown some of the largest vegetables in the north, due to the long daylight hours)...

This is a gem in downtown Palmer. It is a historic place, restored to its former glory. Due to the heatwave (July 2016), it was a bit warm, but great to stay in such a special hotel. A few metres away is a nice place to eat and a big open space to sit back and relax.

My Mom and I, two senior ladies, stayed here, and loved the décor and the quiet of the place. The room was clean, the atmosphere was very peaceful, and the furnishings and the style of the building reflected the period of the building. I would definitely stay here for a longer time if I had a chance. We had supper...

This appears to be a historic, 2-story building on a quiet side-street of Palmer. Most rooms are upstairs, served either through the narrow internal stairway or an added metal stairway outside. A large bay-window lounge on the first floor looks out onto a village green, of sorts. There is no staff on duty; check-in takes place a couple of blocks...

Make Sure you check in with the sister hotel for your key at the Valley Hotel about a block away stop in for dessert there in the quaint retro diner. We had an amazing sleep in this hotel with its birdseye maple furniture. A pleasant size room plenty of windows in #10theupstairs entrance way and stairs can be a bit...

Enjoyed my stay, but the Inn doesn't tell you until you get there that you have to check in at the Palmer Motel a couple blocks away. A small single-hallway Inn that lacks a sidewalk to the door that is used for the Inn. (the other door is used for the rented-space restaurant downstairs at one end) The room was...

We were on a cross Canada/Alaska tour and stopped in Palmer for overnight. We did not have reservations and went to the information bureau for assistance. The two young ladies working that day were amazing. They had previously visited the accommodations in town and were able to give us description of each hotel and price range. They called this hotel...

My Mom, my sister, and I went here for lunch. The room was comforatble, the artwork nice to the eye. This is an original colony building, and you can see the history of this through out the building. I had the Patty Melt. It was on a scrumtious Rye bread, the onions done nicely, and the burger cooked to perfection....

We had a five night reservation and stayed one miserable night in August 2015. The room was hot and they had about a 6 inch fan that you had to plug in and out - no switch to turn it on. Also the bed was terrible! It was old, soft, and lumpy. One night was miserable! But, that was not...
