Mary Francis is one of the most accommodating people that you'll ever meet. The rooms are large as is the bathrooms. My one and only complaint is that coffee is not served until around 0730, which is not much of a complaint as complaints go! We spent two nights with Mary, one going and one coming. It's not what you'd... More

Given previous favourable comments, this is by far our most considered report on this trip.First and foremost Slana is in the middle of no-where, so everything has to be judged accordingly. But at $169 per night plus $25 for the evening meal the added operating costs seem to have been factored into the "problem" We came for 2 nights as... More

This was an extremely well looked after property. It was spotless. It is situated in the middle of nowhere. There is no tea or coffee making facilities, only at breakfast.,where you were also offered a roll as well. We were offered a frozen pizza for dinner as well To stay at a ptoperty like this, you would need to be... More

beautiful, comfortable spot after the dust and bumps of the AlCan, keep going after Tok and stop here. Clean and great beds! The place has style. Host is a terrific authentic Alaskan artist, with cast bronzes and neat paintings. A huge and unexpected bonus.

Loved this place. Spotless, large room, huge bathroom. Enormous tv and w-fi too, did not expect that. Plus this is the most beautiful section of Alaska in our opinion. Would definitely stay here again.

Delightful lodging in Slana AK, right next to Wrangell St. Elias National Park. Extremely clean and comfortable room, and a wonderful and very friendly proprietor ensured a very pleasant stay. Sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the area, but were just passing through on a cross-country move.

One our first day of driving to the lower 48 starting from Seward, AK we encountered a bit of a snow flurry with hypnotizing snow and caribou in the road. We stopped at the nearest place and they were fully booked they kindly called around and eventually got a hold of Mary Frances at Hart D Ranch. It was 10pm... More

This place is an incredible oasis in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness. The scenery around is breathtaking with the Wrangle mountains, the Copper River close by, etc. The B&B itself is amazing. The best accommodations between Tok and Glennallen/Valdez. I don't think you could find any lovlier accommodations. I loved the decor of the room and the lobby. Mary... More

What an amazingly beautiful area the Wrangell/St. Elias area is! Even though we had some rain, the views were just stunning. Hart D Ranch is small, but very clean and Mary Francis was extremely accomodating to all our needs! We had a short but lovely stay - wish it could have been longer to do more exploring/hiking in the area.... More
