The hotel is nice, amazing view's but our room was very outdated. The hairdryer broke, the toiled clogged and our shower wouldn't work. Breakfast was average, yogurt was out of date and coffee was revolting. But good location and a massive king sized bed! You don't really spend that much time in the hotel so it didn't bother me that...

Stayed here three nights during our trip to Sapa. We got a room in the "new", 4 star wing on the 6th floor with the view and balcony(the suite), the most expensive room they had and was thoroughly disappointed. I'll start with the pros first: Pros: -Very central location smack in the middle of town and close to a lot...

We booked the room and tour via a travel agent in Hanoi. The night train with soft sleeper was quite good. Upon the arrival to hotel, we were checked in at once as the room is available. We were upgraded to suite room meanwhile we booked the superior room. The huge room with seperate living room, spectacular view to the...

The spa is currently closed due to renovations (resulting in noise starting at 8h through out the day until about 17h) and the reception could not arrange for an in room massage. The bath has a smell of stained linen, and the water does not drain properly, water temperature fluctuates dangerously and there was no toilet cleaner. Other than a...

After requesting for 4 star accommodation at Sapa, my travel agent booked for me a room in this hotel. I had no idea there was a Chau Long 1 and 2 until i came across this post and realise they share the same lobby and standards differ so greatly. Now I check my hotel voucher and think I have been...

This is a classic hotel in a classic part of northern Vietnam, not far from the Chinese border. Sapa is very much a tourist trap, you will be assailed every step of the way when you walk out the door. This hotel was a relaxing base, from which the intrepid tourist could sally forth into the nearby hills, then return...

Really good view for the hotel, on the side of the hill looking to the valley. The room is clean, well decorated. I booked a room with a balcony but when I came they said sorry and change the room with the discounted price. It was all ok, the breakfast is the same like any 3 stars hotels in Sapa...

We stayed here for one night (would like to have stayed more) the room was very comfortable with a lovely little balcony and fantastic views. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good selection and once again amazing views. The hotel was in a great location just off the main street with many restaurants and cafes near by. The...
