Do not expect chandliers, marbled floors, fancy deco or bottled fragrant toiletries. But for the price, it is worth the stay for it is not fussy, simple, friendly, and a great location admidst iconic landmarks. Some may like the little fire place in the room during winter months. It is run by a local family, and do expect homely hospitality!

We were an extended family group and wanted a hotel near the centre of town, quiet for us oldies, comfortable but reasonably priced for 3 nights: the Thai Binh filled all those criteria. Mr Nam organised our train tickets, pick up, a fantastic guide for a day's walk and, when we wanted to have a day on motorbikes, rustled up...

We spent one night at Thai Binh Hotel and had a wonderful time. Mr. Nung organized our train and bus tickets for us before we arrived and had someone waiting for us at the train station to get us on the bus, making everything very easy. He also organized a half-day tour that was perfect for a family with children...

I am not sure about these other reviews about cleanliness, maybe the attention has really gone down hill since we stayed there, but it was really fine when we stayed there. Disappointing to read it may have gone down hill. It was warm friendly clean and the showers were lovely and hot! I didn't love Sapa though, I felt like...

We booked this hotel based directly upon the overwhelming amount of positive reviews it has received on Trip Advisor. However, upon arriving at the hotel early morning, we we’re completely astounded at how exceedingly ordinary and inferior it was to every other hotel we had stayed at in Vietnam in this price range. In fact, in hindsight I could undoubtedly...

We arrived very early in the morning (7am-ish) and the desk clerk had just woken up (or maybe we woke her up??). While check in wasn't until early afternoon, we were allowed to check into our room (one night stay), which was very nice of them. They also served us tea while we waited. The room was very spacious, although,...

We booked a four-night stay at Thai Binh based on all the excellent reviews it has received on Trip Advisor and discovered that they couldn’t have been further from the truth. Also after checking in, we discovered a lot of the information given on their personal website is false. We booked over the Internet and were extremely impressed with the...

We stayed for 2 nights and booked 2 rooms. Although we had arranged our own rail travel to Lao Cai the hotel arranged transport from the station to Sapa and back, All went very smoothly making the trip that more relaxing. The hotel is clean and centrally located. There is some noise from a dog but that quickly quietens down....

The Thai Binh hotel is a good value hotel on the pathway up to Ham Rong park and just behind the church in Sapa. The rooms were quite large and while the furniture was dated the room had character and some interesting touches. The bathrooms are definitely in need of a refurbishment and the plumbing was not very good but...
