This is where you leave all your troubles behind you and just switch off. We have just spent 14 amazing days chilling out here and enjoying the hospitality of hosts Cathy and Ercan. They are unbelievably cool and are always on hand to offer advice. Like others, we got to enjoy the legendary barbecue and the wonderful boat trips.
Having spent the night in the most comfortable of rooms, a delightful Turkish breakfast is served up to you individually (so reassuring in these current times) in the lush gardens. Every morning brings a different surprise from the team in the kitchen.
In addition to the pool and jacuzzi, to top it all, you have the bar which must be the hippest in Dalyan - please keep this a secret.
What more can you ask for? A repeat visit is on uthe cards, sooner rather than later!

I cannot find a single fault with this wonderful family run small hotel. The garden is a delight and provides a beautiful setting for an ample Turkish breakfast, a light lunch or evening drinks. The pool is a high standard with plenty of loungers and shade. There are numerous places to chill and read, including a fabulous Arabic style zen gazebo. The hosts cannot do enough for you, made all the bookings for our trips and restaurants, ordered all our taxis and arranged our transfers. Rooms are a good size with massive, very comfortable beds. The hotel is a thirty minute walk from town, but taxis were immediately available and only cost a total of £5 return for 4 people. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful with a mountain overlooking the garden and a lemon grove. I would have given six stars if I could have. Dalyan is a great resort with numerous good restaurants, plenty of lovely bars and shopping, and fabulous boat trips offering great value. We will certainly return to Dalyan and this wonderful hotel.

This was my first time to Dalyan garden & definitely won’t be my last! Surrounded by a beautiful garden, delicious fruit trees, vegetables, abundance of flowers, a lovely clean pool, all makes a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
Ercan & Cathy are wonderful hosts, very attentive, kind & flexible. The breakfast was always delicious, with a very good variety of dishes. Also, a personal touch from Ercan who makes the jams & chutney, with fruit and vegetables from the garden.
I came with my two lovely friends, who have been here on numerous occasions. Many of the other people were returning guests too, a great indicator of how much everyone enjoys their stay.
I also must mention Esana ( apologises for the spelling) & her husband, who took great care of the guests. Esana was very kind to me, which l greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Cathy & Ercan for making the holiday so special. Looking forward to seeing you in the future

We have just returned from Dalyan Garden pension after a wonderful 2 weeks. This was our first holiday as a family with our 18 month old baby. The owner Ercan and staff looked after us from the moment we arrived. They provided a travel cot and high chair and loved playing and entertaining Ede. The garden is beautiful and peaceful and Ede loved playing in the pool, feeding cats on the lane and taking in all the Turkish countryside has to offer. The relaxed style is just brilliant and some nights we ordered food in other nights we went into Dalyan which is a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride away. The garden is set up that we could put Ede to bed and sit and relax at the bar or terrace outside the room. Rooms are clean, tidied every day and service is impeccable. For anyone who is thinking of a visit to Dalyan I highly recommend this place. There are lots of hotels in the town but why stare at four walls when you could be in the beautiful garden of the Dalyan Garden Pension instead. 10 out of 10!

Our third or fourth time staying here and it is still amazing. Small ten bedroom hotel about a mile outside Dalyan. Lovely pool, lovely people. The beautiful turtle beach is a boat ride away and there are plenty of boat tours at very reasonable prices to be had. Thoroughly recommend for couples looking for a quiet retreat.

We think this was our fifth visit, after quite a gap, and following one cancellation during Covid. However, nothing has really changed – the pension is still just as good as ever. A testament to its enduring appeal is the very large percentage of returnees – we weren’t the only guests who had been more than once. Ercan was on fine form as the host with the most, the local staff were as friendly and efficient as ever, and it was good to see that Cathy was on hand casting an eye over things! The two barbecues were excellent – the food is as good as you’ll get in any restaurant in town. The pool is fantastic, easily big enough and never crowded, with a jacuzzi plunge pool just nest to it.
The bikes may be a little past their best, but they’re still an excellent way of getting around and exploring a little beyond the town centre – along the river bank towards Koyzegic (very good restaurants and cafes); across the river on the rowing boat ferry with an easy cycle to Kaunos; and, a little out of town, signposted just off the road to the beach, the Kingfisher Restaurant, which we visited for the first time.
We can’t praise the Garden Pension highly enough – you’ll love it!

It was our first time in Turkey and we went with friends who had stayed here before. We just fell in love with everything about this small hotel and Dalyan itself. The owners Ercan and Kathy were perfect hosts, organising day trips and taxis into town. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious with air conditioning, the breakfast was plentiful and the beautiful gardens and pool were tranquil. Most of the guests had stayed in previous years and the bar area made for a sociable meeting place. The weekly barbecue was a highlight with the majority of guests attending and we all parted as friends. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This is the most incredible place we have ever stayed. Having lived in Turkey for 3 years, this is honestly by far, absolutely incredible.
The host Erçan, speaks fluent English and is so very welcoming.
Our children had the best time, and we have fallen in live with this oasis. It is a piece of paradise that is a rare find.

Dalyan was recommended to us by friends and I stumbled across the Dalyan Garden Pension on the internet. What can I say? It really was a slice of paradise. It is situated about 1 mile form the centre of Dalyan and offers real tranquility. Cathy and Ercan who own the Pension are a lovely couple and really made us feel so welcome. It has a beautiful garden and just lazing by the pool was bliss! It is definitely a place for couples looking to get away from it all. I can't wait to go back!

We booked 3 nights here due to the fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor and all I can say is "how can so many be wrong?!" This place was like a motel you go to on a school camp. To say the rooms are sparse is an understatement- bare would be more descriptive! There is no clock, radio,TV, safe,kettle...The only amenity is a bottle of squeeze soap gel (and somehow this disappeared from our bathroom the first day we were there). Yes the pool is quite nice but noone has touched the garden in ages so it all feels really rundown. Breakfast is incredibly basic(cold cocktail franks??) and as far as the manage,r Ercan, being helpful nothing could be further from the truth. The best thing about our stay was that we took two full day excursions which got us off the property all day. Wouldn't recommend this place to even my worst enemy!

Response from kifBrighton, Public Relations Manager at Dalyan Garden Pension
Responded Oct 9, 2011
They can't We may be able to please most of the people most of the time but disappointingly, judging from this, not all the people all of the time. Over 90% of our guests love the pension, we have guests returning year after year who like the wild garden and our simple rooms. We provide comfortable beds, modern bathrooms with constant hot water and loads of storage space for luggage. The overwhelming response we get from our regular guests, who stay usually for one or two weeks, is that they don't want anything else in the rooms. Most guests carry their own entertainment, lap tops, iPads, iPhones etc. We have Wi-Fi and a lap top for guests to borrow. We offer kettles and trays on request. Cold drinks are available a step away any time. All rooms have somewhere with a lock, the walk in wardrobe can be locked. This suits most of our visitors - look at the reviews. for the same period. We do not ask for a deposit on the rooms and if guests (especially those arriving by car and only staying a couple of nights) find the accommodation and garden not to their expectations or needs we would understand if they wished to find alternative accommodation. We are a pension and do not misrepresent ourselves on the website. I am really sorry we have been unable to please these particular guests. I am sorry but not altogether surprised with have been unable to please 100% of people 100% time but hope we can continue to offer the facilities and service that the majority of our visitors are looking for. Also if guests prefer not to have the Turkish breakfast (and seasonal fruit) included in the price we offer other items on request at an additional cost. The vast majority of our visitors over the last seven years have had a happy experience with us. This has made our business worthwhile. We will continue to try and offer guests the very best we can for what we are.
