A meticulously restored Ottoman mansion in a large and beautifully kept garden in a small village. Friendly, well informed, and hospitable staff, willing to drive you into the nearby town of Datca at any time (10 minutes drive, taxis very expensive). Pleasant harbour with yachts and restaurants but otherwise a small town. Datca peninsula is a quiet and mountainous area...

I agree with a number of previous reviews on this property...gardens/grounds/and staff are lovely, food was excellent, property location not great. We saw two rooms, one in the stone house (newer), and stayed in a room in the main house. This room was pretty dismal...dark with no place to read or sit comfortably, beds small and hard with odd sheets....

We stayed here our last holiday as a couple (pre first child) and couldn't have chosen better. By the end of the holiday we were so in love with the place that we are still holding out hopes of getting married there. the mansion - an atmospheric and beautiful ottoman building with immaculate gardens. rooms - stonehouse rooms are modern,...

After all it is a hotel review right? In Mehmet Ali Ağa Mansion's case not really.... The mansion was the showcase of honorable works of restoration, a true love of history and tradition.....Amazingly quiet, private, almost like home... (Well if you are staying at the stone house rooms of course, the mansion rooms were more like a museum to me)....

We loved most of our stay here. The grounds and pool area were absolutely beautiful. The breakast was superb and the staff friendly and attentive. The location was perfect for taking day trips down the the Datca peninsula to Knidos, Palamutbuku and Aiutbuku. The ride into Datca was just 10 minutes. However, it is located in a rather unattractive, unadorned...

I and my fiance had our engagement ceremony here on the 27th of Aug and it was fantastic. The hotel staff did a great job with setting everything up; i.e the meal, drinks, service was all great. The scenery was very nice, and I can't think of one thing that I could critique. The manager Sibel did a wonderful job.

The hotel is set in the fabulous enclosed garden of a finely restored Ottoman mansion, first built in 1809. You can, if you choose, sleep in grand Ottoman style in the mansion itself, but most of the hotel’s accommodation is in stone buildings on the periphery of the garden. These rooms are beautifully designed, cool and airy, and there’s plenty...

Mehmet Ali Aga Mansion is a beautifully restored Mansion in an unspoilt part village on the equally undeveloped Datca Peninsula. The restoration has been completed with huge sensitivity and taste and takes you straight back into the Ottoman Empire. It is really a unique experience, and a must for anyone who looks for unusual hotels. Take the ferry from Bodrum...

We thoroughly enjoyed are time here. The mansion room was a truly unique experience, like living in a (vibrant) piece of history. The food at the restaurant was fantastic- locally sourced and deliciously prepared. The grounds are beautiful and serene. The hotel manager, Sibel, was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. We definitely will stay here again.
