We stayed 2 nights in a large group and never saw the owners. There was no way to contact them to ask or request anything as they didn't answer the phone listed on their door. No good saying something is available from Reception if that office is locked! Not all units had complete sets of glasses or cutlery, facilities basic...

We stayed in this motel for 2 nights whilst wanting to do the Tongariro pass. We arrived early evening after a long drive up from Wellington only to find the place empty with a sign on the door telling us which room was ours. Someone did appear an hour or so later to check if we were ok and settled...

I stayed here after spending a few days completing the Tongariro Northern Circuit and from the moment I stepped into the lobby to inquire about room availability I was blown away by the friendly, accommodating service exhibited by the Innkeeper! Despite not having a reservation, we were able to secure an incredibly well-priced mini suite, and at the same time...

We stayed here for two nights last week. The staff were very friendly and accommodating on check in and throughout our whole stay. While the room was a bit outdated and pretty basic, for the price it is pretty reasonable. Everything was clean and tidy, and once the heaters were on the place was nice and cosy. We had a...

the room was small, cheap with very basic out dated furnishing. The walls may as well be paper screens as you can hear everything in the next door units. The lighting and shower also needs to be a bit stronger. Apart from this, the location and service was good.

Arrived late and there had been a mixup in the booking dates but managers soon sorted us out with an extra room. The outstanding feature of this motel is in the title because I have never seen such a clean motel unit. Rooms were warm and facilities very good. The rooms look a little old fashioned but it adds to...

When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who was more than happy to show us around the property. When we settled in to go to sleep the couple next door (who had a super active toddler) we could hear clearly and the floor boards creaked like crazy! The child would run around to around 10pm and keep...

We just stayed (briefly) at this motel. First impressions weren't too flash, though check in was efficient. Paid a reasonably large sum for a Queen Studio Ensuite though apparently that's to be expected in "high season". Room very modest: dull, insipid lighting, 80s/90s throwback features, no plugs for either sink. Central heating was on but one modest radiator not enough...
